Just got back from the Oldbridge area and thought I was going to stop at Raceway for gas seeins as they're usually the cheapest. Well guess what, nobody was there because across the corner the Shell was cheaper. How's $3.15 for reg at Raceway compared to $2.78 for reg at Shell. It's a no brainer but DAMN, wtf is going on with this country?
One last thing; why is the NJ average gas cost been higher than average when transport costs are so low? Is it really all of those gov't taxes? I sure as hell know it's not the full serve cost! So what gives?

Tsar 08-31-2005 06:31 PM

yea shell was the cheapest one when i went out today too. I wonder why? all the small gas stations seemed to be high while companies like shell, exxon and mobile were cheaper.

SteveR 09-01-2005 07:45 AM

Be prepared for people to start stealing gas... I bet the sales of siphons tripled within the past few days

Savage_Messiah 09-01-2005 08:19 AM

Dam, I was gonna get about 5 gallons of gas for the boat this past Monday and forgot. I'm not paying $4 a gallon for gas for the boat unless I'm completely out. Since it gets premixed with 2 stroke oil I don't want to waste it and have it go bad over the winter.

Tsar 09-01-2005 12:03 PM

here i bring some good news

Thats far from jersey but still...

foff667 09-01-2005 12:23 PM

yah i saw the same pick on comcast.net..ouchie those peeps in atl are hurtin

Tsar 09-01-2005 01:47 PM

damn gas proces around my house went up again. 3.50 is the highest and 3.09 is the lowest for premium. Surprisigly all the cheap gas stations are Exxon which usually charge a ****load for gas.

Tsar 09-01-2005 04:53 PM

um..i think i found a first gas station around here that ran out of gas, one of the Exxons

Fasterthanyou 09-01-2005 05:22 PM

Exxon/Mobil are the largest so their prices change slower (generally speaking) and their supply is usually more stable. Places like Raceway gas and Lora's all have small supply chains in comparison. This results in them paying more for the same gas, the only good thing about them is that they have less overhead so USUALLY they're cheaper than the big Exxon/Mobil and Shell/BP's.
As for gas, just keep topping off. Gas prices aren't going to drop so the least you can do is keep the tank full of the cheapest gas. That's what I've been doing for the past week. All my cars are near full, the 2 Hemi's are a royal PITA. I don't think the MDS is doing jack squat for mileage because I'm averaged to 18mpg. I drive like I'm on empty so that 18 is the best these cars will do :( .

Tsar 09-01-2005 05:30 PM

I just got 22mpg i was happy as hell. The best thing i didnt even baby it 8) Thats a huge improvmnet from 8ish mpg i used to get when car ran like ****. I fixed it in perfect time!

Savage_Messiah 09-01-2005 05:44 PM

I was ashamed at myself earlier, cuz I stopped at a BP cuz I saw premium was "only" 3.09, so put all of the 16 bucks in my wallet into my tank... that got me like a quarter tank, a little more

Tsar 09-01-2005 05:51 PM

damn dude 3.09 is cheap

JL8Jeff 09-01-2005 08:42 PM

Woohoo, I just got 3 gallons for the boat and 2-1/2 gallons for the mower at $2.89! I can't believe I'm happy I paid $2.89 but I saw the price when I went by and decided it would be good to have a few extra gallons sitting around in case of an emergency.

camaro2you 09-01-2005 09:13 PM

damn im lucky i dont have to fill up my completely empty fuel system yet with premium  , every thing has to be primed, fuel lines, fuel pump, carb bowls, the tank has not seen a drop yet. damn

my parents are lucky they got rid of the navigator and got the vette.

BlueFBird 09-02-2005 01:26 AM

ProtekYoNutz 09-02-2005 01:39 AM

foff667 09-02-2005 09:03 AM

that was also yesterday justin...that same place is probably 3.19 now lol

JL8Jeff 09-02-2005 09:34 AM

Right around the corner from my house. They actually had a tanker there last night making a delivery too. I'm not sure what the price is today though. All of West Trenton was around $3.25 last night and these guys were still $2.89.
