j0n 08-13-2006 04:27 PM

dave - i pulled the pump assemb. back out to drain another 5 gallons out of the tank and the ziptie is holding up like a champ so we should be good there.

tank is back up, hooked up, and wired up

new rear is in and bolted up but now i cant find the fuggin bolt that holds the y-block to the freakin dif!!!! so as soon as that's found the rear of the car is done

next step'll be torque arm and driveshaft, fluids, and we begine tuning

WayFast84 08-13-2006 04:39 PM

See you couldve used me for finding that bolt!!!!

use a big magnet?

project89 08-13-2006 06:14 PM

call kasey, since he was the one that put all the bolts to the side,he'd prolly know were it is

Silent Z 08-13-2006 10:10 PM

nah we're puttin that off till tomorrow night

today we got everything bolted to the car to allow it to move and started on the exhaust(got up to the muffler before we quit), and i did a massive cleanup so theres nothing on the front lawn nor on the driveway, old motor's inside, cherry picker's behind the boat etc...hopefully we'll have a short vid clip of startup tomorrow night

90FormulaWS6 08-14-2006 01:37 AM

werd... got the computer to hook up to the PCM like an hour after you left shawn haha it was the USB to serial cable... **** that POS... tomorrow the water pump will be wired and the exhaust finished... along with fluids and checking everything... hopefully we will get it fired and the idle tuned

j0n 08-14-2006 01:49 AM

:banghead: im just about at the end of the rope with this damn thing...

between trying to get the exhaust to bolt up without hitting anything, making the tips look decent, losing the crank position sensor plug, electric water pump wiring nightmares, discovering that my lca's dont fit in the lca brackets on the new rear, flashing the pcm for gm injectors before realizing that they're ford injectors, and having to plug up coolant hoses that have nowhere to go(new water pump housing has em blocked off w/ freeze plugs), im about ready to torch this ****ing thing.

I'm supposed to be at work in 7 hours but im probably going to call out and go down the shore to unwind a lil bit...as of now it doesnt look like the bird'll be at the nats, though i will be there

project89 08-15-2006 01:57 AM

call me or pm me your phone number and ill call ya if i need a hand...the lcas have about 1/4-1/2" of clearance in between the bushings and the inside of the re-locs...i could slap a couple washers in there but id rather just order some tubular lcas
