We had a cop come to our school and tell us stuff for physics and that came up. Make sure you find out when it was last tuned as well. it can be off if not tuned frequently. And for all y'all who ever drive through long valley - watch out because they pull over everybody there.

if im not mistaken its actually 3mph... but they can still pull you over for it ;)

Savage_Messiah 12-16-2006 02:18 AM

but common courtesy is 10 mph :D

Anti_Rice_Guy 12-20-2006 06:53 PM

No, the cop def. said +/- 1 mph. Maybe other cops aren't as high tech. But yeah, most cops gives at least a 5mph courtesy. Except in my town haha.
If you are doing 31 in a 30 (according to radar), then cannot pull you over because you might be doing 30 in reality. If it's for something different than speeding then obviously they can.

I would LOVE to see a 1-3mph over the speed limit ticket hold up in ANY court.

I'm not doubting what the cop told you but I couldn't see something like that holding up.

frosty...i see you joined the ranks of us with user titles... sparky, i gotta here the story behind that

those of you arguing about a cop writing a ticket for 1-3mph over.... they CAN write whatever they want. the matter is will they make an effort to follow up in court or not.

its funny the amount of people that are anti "cop, man, law, establishent" on here, but are quick to shake our hands and hang out at meets.

WTF? I just noticed that. I have NO idea what that's about.

Oh wait, maybe I do. At the last meet I "attempted" to light the tires up as I was leaving but my dumbass left the traction control on...as I was leaving I nailed sewer grate in the lot.

Other than that I couldn't tell you why I have that name lol

Savage_Messiah 12-21-2006 12:46 AM

nailing that sewer grate let out a handful of sparks, sparky :D

Frosty 12-21-2006 05:40 AM

Regular law breakers often have that opinion.

If he didn't know that he bottomed out and left a small shower of sparks, I'm guessing he hasn't crawled under to look for damage....

Nor do I care right now...the car is the least of my concerns. Bad news always comes around Christmas time.

I'll crawl under it today when I pick it up at the body shop today(the fender and stuff is fixed).
