wut do you exactly do on the dyno i no they strap down the car and you make a run but is there some technique to it

NJSPEEDER 02-11-2007 12:57 PM

the people at TTP will actually be running the car on the dyno. you can stand outside and watch or they will allow you to sit in the passenger seat during the pulls.

are there still spots open? the first post says only a handful of guys are signed up...and what paypal address would i send to?

NJSPEEDER 02-11-2007 02:44 PM

still spots left, send payment to paypal@njfboa.org
so far 4 people have put up the money to reserve their spots, so there are 16 left :)

Brando56894 02-11-2007 02:48 PM

i should be there this time so no j3rk0ffs can call me up and tell me my cars busted

EchoMirage 02-11-2007 02:50 PM

i find it kind of neat that we're both talking to each other on two different F-body websites at the same time.....count me in for a dyno too. sending paypal as we speak.

NJSPEEDER 02-11-2007 02:51 PM

which car are yah gonna bring? please say the gold car :D lol

EchoMirage 02-11-2007 02:59 PM

actually i was planning on the 02. my 78 isnt up to snuff. original owner put 389 heads on her, blasting compression to around 12:1. even on sunoco 94, 2 cans of octane boost, just barely enough timing to run, she pings like a bitch up top, and is so lame with so little timing, id be suprised if she'll run in the 14s. eventually eldebrock aluminum heads will go on. i also hope it doesnt rain that day.....my girls dont see rain when i can help it.

NJSPEEDER 02-11-2007 03:44 PM

added ya to the list :)

Yeah, I don't take my Firehawk out in bad weather either. That's why last year I just went to hang out, cuz March can always be a wacky month with weather. It turned out being a nice day that day and I went home with that "I-should-have-dyno'd" feeling one usually gets. So hopefully we'll see decent weather again this year!

EchoMirage 02-11-2007 10:53 PM

it must be my ****** luck or something, but the 2 times i went to englishtown....it rained. the day i picked her up from getting headers installed.....it rained. the one time i took my 78 autocrossing....it rained some.

NJSPEEDER 02-11-2007 10:55 PM

i don't get it? it's a little rain, not hail or snow or godzilla or some other natural disaster. the car comes with paint all over it to prevent the metal from rusting, and i doubt a few minutes of even our fine jersey rain will damage that.

Ian 02-12-2007 12:05 AM

they dont like the rain because its a higher risk of getting into an accident

Jersey_TA 02-12-2007 12:11 AM

F rain lol, I've driven my C5 in the snow. ;)

ar0ck 02-12-2007 07:54 AM

Tim put me down as a spectator no matter what, hopefully it will change though.

Passaic Park is a section of Clifton close to rt. 21. But when I Google that address it doesn't come up  It's gotta be just up the street from where it was last year.

Yea, I know that Matt said the new shop wasn't very far from the old one at all. I might be wrong, but I think he said it was less than a mile away....

Yeah, if they can give us the block it's on it should be easy to find, cuz Van Houten is a long street.

take broadway heading south. make a right onto van houten, there is a CVS on the corner. go up maybe a block or two, and it will be on the left, set back off the street about 20ft. im not 100% about the 1 or 2 blocks, but it is very close to CVS, within a minutes driving.

That shouldn't be hard to find. How's parking over there?

EchoMirage 02-12-2007 10:35 PM

ive never actually been there, but driven past it and know where it is. it doesnt look like they have much parking, but i think its on a corner, so there should be at least some spots here and there. i think theres also some kind of shopping center across the street, though i wouldnt trust parking cars like ours there. im sure if there are plenty of people around, parking close by on the street should be safe enough.
