well, no... its not a guy thing.. i currently own 4 camaros.. its more of an addiction i think.. the cars are extremely fun to drive, and probably as much fun to look at.. they sound good, the perform well, and they look amazing.. plus, theres such a huge aftermarket for them that there is always something that can be done to the cars.

i think when you said that you loved to just go for cruises with your dad you may have answered your own question :)

I don't think its neccisarily a "guy thing". It's an object you desire that brings you happiness. Those memories that the car brang also probably reminds your Dad of the good old days that he once enjoyed in his 72.

My wife drives the 94 in my sig, and she gets the same smile on her face that I do when she drives it

Ha ha...you said ass..ha ha.

Welcome. Do you have any pics of your Dad's car? It isn't just a guy thing!

GirlyGirl2007 03-03-2007 09:08 PM

I like my car I like that it gets me from a to b. He really loved his car I don't get why I was just thinking it was a guy thing I guess I may have been wrong.

GirlyGirl2007 03-03-2007 09:10 PM

I only have one and I don't have a scanner but I've seen it on ebay. It was yellow.

It's just something you like and really get into, like any hobby, I suppose.

GirlyGirl2007 03-03-2007 09:13 PM

I guess so I wish I had Hobby I liked as much as he loved that car.

BonzoHansen 03-03-2007 09:14 PM

You'll find something you like. Most people do.

GirlyGirl2007 03-03-2007 09:15 PM

mechanical reasons aside, there's just a feeling you get driving an f-body that doesn't really get duplicated. Many other cars have this kind of spirit in them, but most cars don't. You know what I mean yourself, proved it when you said

Pretend to be girls and start trouble how can you start trouble here I don't see how that is possible. I'm just trying to get why my Dad loved these cars so much. And that's it.

They would try to make this site into a dating service. There was a topic not to long ago in the central forum the girl said "wanna meet some new girls" she made 1 post and never posted again.

ANYWAY, are you in the market for a F-Body? If not why not? Get one they are fun.

GirlyGirl2007 03-03-2007 09:30 PM

OK now that you know im not some crazy person here can you just leave me be I just want to feel what my Dad loved about these cars. OK? I don't know much about them I do know what an F-Body is and that I can't drive a stick. Only in reverse. And just learn more.

GirlyGirl2007 03-03-2007 09:31 PM

I'd get one it's a Money Issue as in I have none.

LS1Hawk 03-03-2007 09:31 PM

Welcome to the club! All of us here have one particular thing in common and that's a passion for F-bodies, i.e. Camaros and Firebirds from 1967-2002. Some of us prefer certain years or generations (there was 4 for both), and we all have different reasons for what drew us to the cars. I somehow as a kid just developed a thing for Trans Ams and always knew I wanted one. And like your dad, my favorite thing about my car is just cruising on a warm day with the T-Tops off. It truly is a thing of beauty to be young and have the car of your dreams. Coming to this site and learning about the cars may be the first step for you.
