It was snowing and sleeting pretty hard as I drove into work. I also ended up going through a mudslide on my road. I couldn't tell what was in the road until I got to it. Somebody's driveway washed out and all the dirt/rocks ran across the road. The SS is like a 4x4, I've been going through everything the last 2 days!

Going to get new tires on the beater now  slacking off FTL
|
Tossed the Jeep in 4wd on my way to work this morning. Most roads on my side of Ewing were covered in about 1/2" of sleet, and my tires blow.
Fortunately Kare's office was closed, otherwise I was gonna give her the Jeep and take her Mustang to work. That would have been a fun ride. - Justin |
Every things flooded! Even my shop is under water, maybe it will sink back to the depths of hell where it belongs.

Its so windy here right now. Yesterday 73 was so flooded I had to wait until around midnight just to go back home.

Yep...still looking for that storm.
Hung out with the gf all day yesterday. After the intial post, I went to her house in prep for going into the city, but that didnt happen. Woke up at like 2, made some breakfast, watched some movies, made dinner, watched TV, went to bed, woke up for work...here at work. Yeah, its wet. Yeah, there were big puddles. Is it that bad? Apparently outside of my area, it is. My brother had to go to NB store today for a 930 meeting. Left at 730, which would put him at the store at no later then 815....he got there at 11. Apparently 18 is closed after Rt1, and parts of Rt 1 is closed as well. He got to the meeting, and was told to go home cause he was late. He said he almost took the guys head off with a golf club.... Anyway, at work and its ******** dead. And I have to close. |
The Formula braved the weather and made it down to school... in only FOUR short hours HAHAHA... There are so many damn roads closed on the way down here it's not even funny.

I saw lots of closed roads around me, the fire department is pumping water out of basements all over town, and I saw a sunk box truck, water up to the doors. And the creek behind the strip mall by me is way overflowing and water is up to the back of Risoldis Grocery store..
And it is very windy. But I managed to make it to Meyers Speed Shop, McDonalds (gotta feed the kids), Ace Hardware (who ran out of sump pumps - I heard 3 people ask in 10 minutes) and Advance Auto (who strangly had the spark plug heat sleeves on the shelf that Meyers did not). Olds Power! |

Yep, guess I scared the **** out of it, cause it never showed up here. Sunny and about high 40's out right now. Little cold, but liveable.

two nights ago i ran 35 fire calls between 4pm and midnight... every single one was basement flooding. most had less than 6 inches of water. the worst: 6 feet, just below the ceiling downstairs.
|
between sunday afternoon and tuesday morning i did 225+ fire calls. my dept went to lyndhurst, hackensack, new milford, river edge and hilsdale with our dive team. we were on ch11 and ch2 news lol
the other calls were all for utility shut downs when the basements flooded, some pump outs, smells of gas and smells of smoke |
