Alex, what's the pricing gonna run? I'd definitely like to get some pics of the car.

I'm to sure on pricing just yet, depends on how many NJFBOA people show up. I'll obviously price it cheaper then whatever the regular track guy charges including deals on the shipping.

98tadriver 12-13-2008 02:46 PM

lookin good! i should wash my car, maybe tomorrow on the way there perhaps. last time it looked like i had real tree camo on it from the leaves and lack of washing lol

SRGN 12-13-2008 03:17 PM

Have fun, the Buick vs Mustang thing has been rescheduled too many times so there will probably be a ****** turnout. I'm done for the year and will be working on my 67 in preparation for the '09 season.

NJ Torque 12-13-2008 03:48 PM

No dice... got work.

DadsZ28 12-13-2008 03:49 PM

I don't think it will be as crowded as it would have been if they ran it as scheduled but I still think there will be more cars than on reg t&t. but if it is I will enjoy watching then and give the car a bit of a rest since I have been running it hard lately.

Mike 12-13-2008 03:52 PM

im loaded up, trailers hooked up and im ready to go..........see everyone in the morning

Blackbirdws6 12-13-2008 04:14 PM

sweet deal! lets all set some new bests and break nothin lol

NJ346 12-13-2008 08:07 PM

I just put on the drag radials and put my chrome 5 spokes back on the front. I've done about 5 2500 rpm dumps with no burnouts and these Mickey T's are hooking :). I'm thinking I might do the whole water and bucket thing in the garage because I wont have time tomorrow morning and I dont feel like doing it in the drive way now and freezing my ass off.

BigAls87Z28 12-13-2008 08:46 PM

Alright, Camaro has been taken down to basic race weight. Rear seats, cargo cover, ttop bag are out along with about 40 bucks in change I found under the rear seats.
Oil was changed, tranny fluid topped off. I was gunna check the tire pressure before I head out, and then adjust accordingly at the track.

NJ346 12-13-2008 09:40 PM

Well after everyone said they were washing their cars I decided to get my ass outside and wash the car. Here are results:

http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...5/IMAG0034.jpg

And here are the almost bald MT's I will be riding on. Here is a picture of the worst part of both tires:

http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u.../IMAGE_036.jpg.

My dad will be tailgating with me and he'll have an extra set of rear tires along with a jack and wrench just in case the tires decide to go. Let's just say my burn outs tomorrow won't be that big : (

Mike 12-13-2008 09:59 PM

i would swap them in the pits before you leave either way

ill have 2 jacks, wrenches, and a snap on gun

98tadriver 12-13-2008 10:09 PM

i put my chassis mount adj. tq arm and V6 springs in today. what a difference in traction on the cold street with street tires! i launched soft around 2500-3000 rpm and usually it spins at the top half of first gear into second, but it didnt spin 1st, and just chirped into 2nd 3rd and 4th :)

Yea I plan on it. I tightened the drag radials with a torque wrench so I know they are on good, but not too tight that it's gonna be a bitch tomorrow. I plan on leaving around 9 and get there at 10 but most likely will be running late because my dad likes to take his sweet old time. Well now that everyone knows what my car looks like don't be afraid to stop in the pits and talk. Even though I am 17, I do know a lot about these lil LS1's.

Mike 12-13-2008 10:18 PM

we are makin a little convoy down, so we will be in the pits together:

my blue tbss with the pewter bird on the trailer
featherburners blue g8
blackbirdws6 with the orange g8 and the black lt1
and bigal with the red 87

im sure you will see us before we see you

lol. What time is everyone planning on showing up. I know the gates open at 9, so I figure they start running at 10-10:15?

Mike 12-13-2008 10:22 PM

we are meeting up on 206 at 9:15, so we will be there 9:40ish

Sounds good. See you all the. I'm hitting the shower now and then getting some sleep. Can't wait for the new PB's tomorrow. By the end of the day I may end up trying to do a high rpm launch just to see if the rear will hold it:mrgreen:. I've got a 2:73 rear sitting in my garage so it won't be down for too long if I decide to attempt to get some good 60 ft's and blow the rear.

Mike 12-13-2008 10:31 PM

hehe

DadsZ28 12-13-2008 10:31 PM

They usually start around 10 or so but I would watch the first couple of cars go down to see how well the track is prepped or if ya are one of the first ones to run take it easy to see if the track is hooking. Two weeks ago while running early in the morning the track was a skating rink before it came around but last week it hooked right away which was unusual but welcomed. I'm not sure if I am going tomorrow since some other plans came up but if I do make it I'll be sure to come up to you guys and say hi. Either way good luck to all!

ar0ck 12-14-2008 01:45 AM

I'm hoping to get there around 10 as well, I just got home and I'm exhausted.
