Car needs fluid in the shocks as you can see it squats and dosent look right with the hood on. needs new air fliter and that hood is shredded. the back is almost ripped off from wheelies and it dragging the floor.

BigRocsFirebird 01-15-2009 06:59 PM

yeah i first started out with electric car and had fun untill i melted all the wires togeather when it had a short =[ and now they have brushless motors that kill. but your truck has twin motors? thats pretty cool if thats what you ment by said you need a pair of motors.

LTb1ow 01-15-2009 07:01 PM

BigRocsFirebird 01-15-2009 07:14 PM

NJ346 01-15-2009 07:24 PM

I have an ofna pirate monster, and 4-5 electric tamiya trucks that are all broken in one way or another. My king blackfoot has a bunch of home made mods that made it drive/handle more like a real truck than a toy. I built my own strut front end for it, and totally redid the steering. 4 inch tmax shocks, stadium truck tires, 17t motor, waterproof ESC, etc. I fried the gear box in it, it grings now if you try to floor it and has broken axles. I also have a wild dagger with a custom aluminum chassis, traxxas 14v esc, 2 titan motors, and 2 battery packs. It flys! Also has broken suspension arms and a few other minor problems. There all for sale if anyone is interested...

These pictures are from a very old camera...so forgive the quality. Afterall i was like 14 or 15 when i played with these

Strut front end...goofy but it works amazingly well and is 200% better than the stock setup with massive camber rise and bump steer. Now both of those are totally gone with more travel

HeadlessNorseman 01-15-2009 10:04 PM

Also my 2 speed suspensioned tank...im in the process of building a left/right(basically 2 on-off switches) controller for it so i can drive it with a 2 channel pistol grip and an ESC. And if i can find my 3 channel radio, i can finally hook the "shifter" up to a servo

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...C/IMGP0093.jpg

The 2 speed! pretty complicated for a cheap toy bulldozer thingy

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../RCC/trans.jpg

This is how first and second work...pretty neat design. Its pretty much a crash box and it will get stuck in between gears once the grease flies off

See, whenever I have stuff like that 2nd pic it never seems to make it back together. Maybe that's because I use a hammer? Idk.

yes, all those c clips and figuring out where all those gears go is pretty frustrating

BigRocsFirebird 01-15-2009 11:36 PM

its good to see people are talking on here. i never know what to make a thread about and i want to post up and be involved in this forum.

And yes i hate those C clips, they have to be the worst thing. i go to put one on and it shoots off at like 90 mph and can't find it. so i have a big bag now probly over 300 clips in there.
