that and I'm just bitter because their users are generally elitists who think because they paid 2K for their pretty white laptop that its the best thing on this world

It's funny because in this picture it looks like there is more than college females using macs. And this is def. not a graphic design class in a large auditorium like this. I also have 7 Mac computers all which never had to be formated and run perfectly fine. Your just bitter because your browser probly crashed 4 times while you were trying to write your comment. Anyhow...Here is some other fun stuff about your beloved windows.

I noticed mac owners are just like toyota owners. They think their the greatest thing known to man kind. My girlfriends sister is a mac owner and a toyota owner, and whenever something happens to my computer she says "you should have bought a mac" and whenever my car broke down she said "you should get a Japanese car." Hell when she saw my new truck all she could say is "You should have got the toyota tacoma, toyotas are so much better."

Basically Apples are computer rice.

Ha! You do realize there are more Operating Systems out there than OS X and Windows right?

Your entire assumption is that I am posted from a Windows based box. Try Slackware or Ubuntu. There is also a great chance we're in fact using the same browser anyways... Firefox is a great application.

I never said mac's were poor quality. I said I can't stand their users and they are incredibly over priced.

Im with 79CamaroDiva in saying it is funny how everyone cries on here. Maybe thats why I rarely come back to this site. Yes the internet is full of critics but other forums Im on I haven't ever seen so many people cry about stuff. The kid got a new computer and is happy about it and immediately someone cries about it and posts 300 messages arguing back and forth. Oh and I don't own any foreign cars so I guess that makes me a rare breed ( Z28 and Corvette ).

I'll chime in as a mac fanboy.

I am 21. Ever since 6th grade (9 years ago?) I was at "laptop" schools, in which we had to have our own laptops, and used them in EVERY class. I went through something like 4 HP laptops and 2 Sony Vaios. They had an absurd amount of problems. I knew a bunch of people with Compaqs and they had the most problems out of everyone.

About 2 years ago my last Sony Vaio crashed on me. I wandered into the Sony store (KOP mall), platinum Visa in hand. I was standing there, looking at $2300 computers, ready to buy one. The people in the store refused to come help me, even though there were no other customers in the store.

I wandered down to the Apple store to ask about using that partition software so that I could run windows on a macbook. The guy told me to just go buy a PC if I wanted to run windows... but then he handed me a macbook and told me to mess around on it and see what I thought.

And guess what computer I'm typing this message on ;)
Had it for 2 years now, no problems (other than a smashed screen, which was 150% my fault).

When I was a freshman in college, all of the "social science" majors (not me, I was comp sci ;) had to buy iBooks. They bought something like 1200 of them. Of that group, about 60% of them had major hardware failures, to the point where they stopped forcing the iBook buy and started pushing thinkPads.

Me, I don't give a **** what people run. I turned my Linux box on in early 2003 and didn't press the power switch again until the end of grad school in 2005. Now that's stable.
