Just a few....

BigAls87Z28 03-29-2009 08:36 PM

I also like how I can be a bad guy when I think that a GM product is more impressive then a Viper, or if I think Camaro is a better car then Challenger or Mustang or Genny coupe, but no one else is yelled at for thinking otherwised.

I never said that your opinion is ****. I just said that its NOT impressive to me. I guess Big Al cant have an opinion?

Big Al's Opinion: The Viper is the most overhyped sports car in the history of sports cars. If you want one, thats fine. Its my opinion, if you dont like it, suck my ass.

Assmints?

NJSPEEDER 03-29-2009 09:56 PM

Al, I think it has more to do with the way you come off like the American version of Clarkson. You come off as having a very clearly defined range of what is or isn't good based on certain brands and when something comes along that is similar in anyway it is instantly reduced to being inferior.

It comes off as you just acting like a huge GM fanboi and ignoring any possibility of market appeal or a place in any segment for any car that falls outside of your views of the automotive world.

We all have our opinions, I think yours draw a lot of static because they are so predictable.

********, look at pics of vehicles posted above.

If there is a thread that talks about Challenger vs Camaro, I expect as anyone else would on an Fbody site, a huge outpouring for Camaro.
If there is a thread about Viper vs Vette, expect me to pick the Vette.
I dont ignore the appeal of other cars. I understand there is an appeal for different cars, and thats fine. I have no problem with other peoples opinion, its when I display my opinion on something, people tell ME im wrong.

I have a vaste aray of feelings for different cars. Sorry if nothing Chrysler makes appeals to me.

No thank you - not interested in sucking your ass :rofl:

Al, you crack me up

sweetbmxrider 03-30-2009 09:30 AM

i always thought the vette and viper were a great matchup

69BirdX 03-30-2009 11:52 AM

Vipers arent geared for the track. They are made for road course and top speed.

JL8Jeff 03-30-2009 01:57 PM

Would the Viper coupe be quicker than the vert due to less body flex?

I forgot that the Z06 was tuned to be a drag racer.
And ******** on road course. Viper is a glorified track car that cant get traction.

I bet if you compare the engineering and R&D money in both cars, that is where your comparison lies. The vette may have 100 less hp but i bet it has 1 million more dollars in design behind it. Im not saying its a plus or a negative, and im not sure at all on specfic numbers, But im sure GM has a lot of resources to throw at the vette than chrysler is willing to at their respective cars. But on another note, some people(me) like the sledgehammer in an army of scalpels approach. Reminds me of the Shelby Cobra. I would still enver choose a viper over a z06 or even a base c6 and some bolt ons, but its still an awesome car

BigAls87Z28 03-31-2009 01:26 AM

It is an awesome car, no doubt. I am not doubting its awesomeness, but people put the car up into this epic level of performance, when its probably one of the hardest performance cars to drive correctly. Whats the point....
GM has done a lot more work, but pulled off a better package for a lower price.

69BirdX 03-31-2009 02:23 AM

The viper actuly can get really good traction. the rear ends are special designed. but the have low gearing in the rear. i belive its like a 295. plus IRS cars never do good compared to a Solid rear car. Both the vett and viper would be faster if you replace the Irs for a rearend.
