i know I'm going crazy to find work so that i can get the money to find the prob but i kinda figured the o2 because its almost like what ever it is gets blown out at the higher rpms and i need to check the maf so hopefully i get it done should have it tuned in the next few weeks

NHRABill 06-01-2012 09:48 PM

My car ran great cold, but after 5 mins of driving it felt like the computer went into a safety program and hard throttle would make it miss and pop being a new owner of and knowing what was done in the past was half ass I read all I could find about the rough idle and other problem. Figuring the 19 year old coil could use replacement and reading that the electronics attached to that bracket get hot and toss idle off I added a couple washers as someone suggested along with a new msd replacement coil and no more idle problems or computer going wacky after 5 mins. at least so far.

Your issues seem to be all over the place too much changed to compare it to my stock ride so do what I did read read and read then try something

Good luck...

Why are you so against fixing it or taking it to a shop? Any particular reason you are so quick to sell it?

Quote:

just did the math and the car is getting 30-33mpg highway, 19-25 around town

rickyd13 06-03-2012 09:36 PM

i did take it to a shop and did fix it i think it jus needs o2s because they come on every once in a while and i found what i have been looking for and I'm trying to sell it before he sells that

rickyd13 06-03-2012 09:37 PM

last time i was in this spot the guy wrecked the car and i sold my truck so i was walking trying not to have that again

rickyd13 06-03-2012 09:43 PM

it may jus be from running rich setting them off because they were fine before the new motor

rickyd13 06-03-2012 09:55 PM

rickyd13 06-03-2012 10:02 PM

Wish you luck on the sale but for sake of comparing I paid $3,000 for my 94 Convertible z28 only issues is speedo recalibrate, serious need of wax, a/c needs charging and maintenance neglected. A hundred $ later and a few buffing bonnets I have a decent driver to cruise in. I see a lot out there under 7k have my car for about 2 months now.
hope that helps you in pricing I love these cars in Black but not a black convert interior...

rickyd13 06-03-2012 10:24 PM

Is that in the neighbourhood behind seaside furniture?

LTb1ow 06-04-2012 07:18 AM

I would ask closer to 10k for it, I mean LT1s are coming close to be classics now!

rickyd13 06-04-2012 02:01 PM
