Best sedan ever built? Quite a stretch.
|
best sedan ever built? hmmm.
Reliably... I'd say Camry. I see so many with 300k miles on it. Overall... Taurus SHO (old or new) or a G8 :) |

Charger Hellcat looks like a great car on paper but it's nowhere near best. |
When I think fun car, sedan or otherwise, 2.5 ton vehicles don't spring to mind. If any consideration is to be given for a high performance school bus I would say a Bentley at 4ish times the price is still a better value than a Dodge on a pick up truck frame.

So much hate for something you've never sat in! For 4x the price, I'd buy a house. For $60k, show me better. It sure isn't a zl1.....

No hate here, expect interwebs hyperbole lol

I can tell you from the powertrain side of things, I see hellcats abused on a daily basis. The interiors are largely improved, and IMO, nothing beats the Uconnect system that Dodge has right now(With the exception of GM offering LTE over Chryslers 3G wifi).

E39 M5..One of the best sedans ever built....and I'm not a beemer fan....just giving credit where its due. Great drivers cars should have the ability to be manually shifted (i'll give you the 1.5 gen s.h.o b/c it was a trendsetter, but the 2nd gen killed it ((a round radio...stop w/the roundness abound)). New sho is too big.

Best sedan ever built is the 190e 2.3-16v Cosworth. Duh! |

This is my point here. 60k for the hellcat gets you a lot of car for the money. this is probably the best bang for your buck performance wise ever. you get a 10 second car (solid 11s)...a warranty...not skimping on space in the interior for day to day functions all wrapped up in a package thats appealing from every angle but not too busy to catch the eye of cops like a sports car would. I havent seen any car ever made that can pull that off. Edit: its bang for your buck that originally drew me towards f-bodies in the first place. |
Lol $60k bang for the buck. I get it, it just sounds funny

haha yeah I guess so but everythings expensive anyway. a top of the line camaro or mustang can easily come close to that ballpark if you pile on the options |
Exactly, compared to what's new out there, $60k isn't crazy anymore.

You can't honestly say that any SRT is a sleeper much less the Hellcat.

lol who said sleeper....i said cop magnet. take a vette and a hellcat down the road together....take a guess which one the cops getting behind |

How to avoid being a cop magnet in one easy step
#1 DON'T DRIVE LIKE A COMPLETE S*** FOR BRAINS J***OFF ALL THE TIME!!!!! lol If we are going to discuss comfortable performance sedans that are good value we should discuss the Chevy SS. If memory serves it is close to $20k less than the Hellcat, IMHO it's a better looking car, weighs about half a ton less, and is still over 400hp. |
What about a neon hellcat???:shock:
Actually, all the above cars mentioned are bad ass. Vette = bad ass Hellcat charger = bad ass Hellcat challenger = bad ass It's the horsepower wars again...but just plain insane now. Each car has something unique. For me, the charger hellcat is the most practical out of all of them. I just want to see a really good driver, cold weather and maybe some sticky tires on a hellcat. I heard a rumor that true slicks n very cold weather got 10.2 in the 1/4. If it's true.....how many other cars under $65K can go that quick? |

Has anyone even bought an ss. Anytime I've ever seen one is at a dealership, not 1 on the road so far that I have seen. Reminds me too much of the g8...its been done already, but then again I'm still immensely partial to the land yacht 94-96 impala ss's.
ted, ted..lol. |
no but I see the NJSP driving new caprices
