it's not necessarily you, it's just that the whole "women suck, women piss me off, girls are stupid" thing gets old.

oh, yeah. we get the same thing from girls, it is pretty annoying...if something pisses you off that much...just stop being an idiot and letting it get to you. end of story

I have dated my share of guys who were total jerks, and I don't go around calling every man an ******* or a douchebag, just cuz some handful of guys I happened to date ended up being pretty rotten. I wouldn't ever let them be my basis for the rest the whole male population, cuz that would totally kill my chances of finding the good guy.

well i admit many of us guys suck too, just beacuse this board is mostly guys, the females get the bad rep. I can be a real ******* to my gf sometimes but i dont ever do it intentionally and she knows it so she forgives me and it works the same the other way around even. When i was in HS, i felt the same way about the opposite sex and that they were just out to mess with my head, but then i realixed, it happens to almost everyone everywhere, its life, a growing experience. Just grin and bear it, then forget it. guys and girls both grow up and mature and itll get better. being young is abotu having fun and not caring what other people are up to. blah blah blah..'nuff said..

Exactly. He treated her like ****. She would come to my house and sit and cry cuz she was upset. I know her better than he did and he was with her for months. Also im only attracted to girls I can trust and as of right now there are only two. This girl I'm talking about n the girl from HP.

i think the real question is: why do men/women play games with the member of the opposite sex's head? i dont get it, i never did that and not until recently have i found so many women doing it to me. why can't people be more striaght forward about what they want?

this could fill a bookcase, dude.

the short answer is: most people don't know what they want.

there are all kinds of reasons why people do what they do. maybe they were molested as a kid? maybe they opened up completely and the other person laughed at them? maybe they've seen other people torn to shreds and are afraid that will happen to them? maybe their parents didn't show them love? maybe...

the top minds are still trying to straighten this mess out, so don't feel bad if you can't. just relax and keep searching. she's out there, somewhere.

Psychologically, humans are entertained by the "chase and follow" routine. Say, you're a guy who gets this girls number, so okay, you call her. She doesn't pick up, she never returns your call. But then a day will pass and she will drop you an IM, most likely when you are away. You reply, she doesn't get back to you. And this goes on for a while until you get fed up. So she sees no sign of you, whatsoever. All the sudden, just as you think she forgot about you or dropped you like a sack of dirt, there she is again, waiting for your attention.

When she knew you'd go after her time and time again, it was probably amusing to her. This is a maturity issue, and something she'll probably grow out of, but for the love of god, don't wait for her to. Guys do this too, but in different ways. Bottom line is, when someone is being chased, they like it, and they want to keep the chase going, except at some point, you'll get pissed off for chasing in vain, and they'll want to do something to start the chase again, which is the point where the roles change, and they begin to chase you.

And they probably don't really know if they want you to begin with, like Jim said, which is why the chase results in the first place.
