If you have the money, las vegas offers F1 school -about 4-6K and 500/lap 4 lap min for the car.. WOW

Myself - been there done that.. Now if I get into speeds of 250+ I'll let you know. then its worth bragging about

going fast is fun and all, but very dangerous. This is why I am very interested in the possible land speed event idea in the works. And eventually i will get my SS to break 200, even if i need to visit the salt flats.

Fbody will not hit 200 before parts fly off.. Physics (sp) plus the HP needed to reach that speed would have to be 700+ in a fbody.

oh, that i know. hence why I said eventually, after a supercharger and possibly a stroker motor. Its a long term goal, not within 10 years.

If it's geared just right, with a powerful motor, I bet 200 might be able to be achieved without a blower.

I have seen a 93 Z, 383 with a T-Trim do 212 on the stock body (except for being lowered and having a different spoiler) in 5th gear with the 2.73's. It was in an old issue of GMHTP. It was Burgandy (and it was sweet!)

recently on my second trip to mexico there's probably a missfire SES set around 112

Me and my friend were at around 125 :nod: He had a Red TA w/Hypertech and auto tranny. Mine just had AEM intake and some home intake options.

Now he has a Firehawk which I have not seen yet. He is out west.

Let me tell you from personal experience that it is a whole other feeling at 185+ compared to 145. :nod:

88 bird tbi - no limitor, only year for the tbi - maxed out around 150ish (speedo red 180 but i had 3.08 speedo gears at the time but had a 3.42 rear)
93 ford taurus - 135+
92 acclaim 2.5L 5spd - 110 then blew the headgaskets LOL

110mph in a 35 year old car is scary....
125+mph in the old 87
107mph, maxed out in the Maxx
???mph in the Taurus...speedo would just bounce around once I got over 40mph, and it only went to 85.

I still wont hit my top speed in the standing mile lol. but it is a year away
