The problem with not buying gas, is that you'll still need it at a later date, so sales will slump one week, and spike the next. The real solution is to not have to rely on gas. Buy a diesel car or truck, like an old Mercedes, Jetta, Passat, or truck, and make your own biodiesel for 50-70 cents per gallon. Ef the oil companies by making it yourself. You dont want to pay $5 a gallon? Show them that.

i was a detective trying to figure out these strains of murders taking place at gas stations...they were random shootings and the guy left notes saying he wouldnt stop until gas prices went down. but it was wierd...when we did catch him he was in a barney costume. dont u just hate when dreams do that? ur just like...wtf?! |

Don't take that the wrong way - I would love to be in the financial position to be able to buy an older diesel car and make my own fuel. We just can't rely on it as a whole. I think more people should be buying diesel vehicles one way or another. Sure the price is higher, but with the mileage increase it helps to cancel that out (and then some). - Justin |

My brother laughs when people say things to him like "Bet you wish you didn't get that diesel truck now, huh?", and then their jaws hit the floor when he tells them his '05 Dodge Ram 3500 crew cab, 8' bed, behemoth of a truck is getting 23-24mpg on the highway (18-19 around town) without him even trying. Try getting half of that in the same truck with any of the gas motors they offer (which all have way less power). Diesel may be more expensive than it should be just like gas, but the increase in mileage in most cases more than makes up for the higher fuel cost. - Justin |
