I just have a regular drivers license.I never took the test for a motorcycle license.I dont know how it is in NJ but in PA it just has a letter signifing motorcycle in the "class" section on your drivers license.I believe its the letter M for motorcycle.Ive gotten pulled over a few times throughout the years and not once has a cop ever said anything when I showed them my drivers license.Ive only had 1 accident back in 1992 when I hit a car that pulled out in front of me off of a side street.I was doing about 25-30 mph.Slammed on the brakes, the bike slid sideways and I ended up sitting on her front fender.I took out her fender and dented the hood with my clip on handlebar.Only damage to the bike was a broken brake lever and cracked spark plug cap.I just had a cut on my knee and was able to ride the bike home.I ended up losing my license for 3 months because I didnt have insurance.Had been riding without it for a few years at that time.Cop didnt say a word about my license. My impession is that regular patrol cops have no idea. Now getting pulled over by a cycle cop might be a different story
