ASCAP threatened to sue girl scouts for signing around campfire... Just like that suit was dropped so was the BMC suit.

There are some things that are NOT copyrightable. Titles/headlines are one of them, now the question was is the name of the car considered a title?

That is not a copyright case per se, it's a trademark they are arguing about. Now if "Camaro" was trademarked by GM (I have no Idea if it is) and OP used it to infringe than yea he would get the short end of the stick. Let's say he wanted to name his fries "apple" fries. Would he get sued by Apple for using the word "apple" in his menu, unlikely. What if he put their trademark next to the name of fries (the apple logo). He would no doubt get sued by Apple. Trademarks are not the same as copyrights. Although in that case it sure seemed like they were.

If anyone is interested enough I can ask an Intellectual Property Lawyer about this. But I doubt anyone cares enough.

Logos are copyrighted/trademarked. Common words in the dictionary are not.

Whoah! Good call, I can't remember the last time I had sloppy joe or tater tots. And I just thought of fried chicken if you know a decent recipe. Really good fried chicken will bring in a crowd! You might need biscuits and gravy to go with it though.

I was bored and took a ride up there around lunchtime today....are you moving in to the building that is currently signed as the Golden Nugget Cafe? Or are you just getting a spot in one of the other buildings on the right side?

Get a deep fryer and use it almost exclusively. Anything battered and fried is a good meal!

And yet the best thing on the menu is the grilled cheese....

BonzoHansen 02-27-2009 09:17 AM

Showtime, I might suggest visiting other restaurants that are similar to what you want to do. Like Chatter Box Inn up north or the Circus Drive In in Wall (currently closed for winter), as examples.

i already have 90% of my menu complete , i was just trying to see if there was the couple of plates that i might have missed . Like one was fried pickles i might have never incorporated that into my menu, so theres just little things i was looking for . All the other foods are your run of the mill foods that are just expected anyway. I will look at chatter box and circus though

Thanks

Eddie
