Roads are bad pretty much everywhere. I had to go from Hamilton to Edison at 6 am, just north of 287 on Rt 1. I had to take many detours to get here.

Be safe and just with this all out.

sweetbmxrider 08-28-2011 09:55 AM

My house is still here

Gotta go venture out and find my car though....

Frosty 08-28-2011 10:07 AM

Pretty calm here, didn't lose power here even though Tim lost his around the block.

I just feel bad for the shore communities, they got blasted and we're assuming my family lost their boats...good thing for insurance.

We had that happen with a prior storm so I mad sure the screens were lifted up a little to make sure the water could drain out. I don't think we ever lost power which is nice. I just got back from the river and pulling the dock and steps in. Lots of debris coming down the river and it's still coming up.

deadtrend1 08-28-2011 10:24 AM

Yea, no power here, this sucks

Blackbirdws6 08-28-2011 10:27 AM

Sewer system backed up and I got some water in the crawl space. Everything is elevated but I have the sump and two aux pumps working. My neighbor gets sewage backup and he is miserable. No power loss and no damage to the house or cars. Wind is picking up again but the sun is out.

coolmanvette75 08-28-2011 11:15 AM

Got a couple of inches of water in the basement and backyard. Besides that and a few branches in the yard, its fine here. We lost power at midnight for like 30secs then it came back on. I imagine some of the main roads are flooded, being that they flood under normal conditions

qwikz28 08-28-2011 12:00 PM

Supposedly they are now opening the parkway. Have to drive down to Barnegat later and check on the house. I don't imagine its going to be easy to get to.

baddest434 08-28-2011 12:18 PM

a few branches and leaves all around but thats all. never lost power which in my area of brick is amazing.

hopefully IRENE chased all the bennies home

Anti_Rice_Guy 08-28-2011 01:02 PM

Lost power for 2 minutes a little bit ago. Just windy and a little bit of rain up here. Had a branch down. Called down to Forked River, only lost the lid to one of those plastic sheds. Water came within 1 foot of top of bulkhead supposedly.

I have no damage here still on the mountain. In the valley is another story.

Friend in Cranford just sent me some pics, water is at the top of his 8 foot fence in the yard....

Frosty 08-28-2011 04:40 PM

Makes you realize how insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things doesn't it?

greenformula92 08-28-2011 04:42 PM

cranford is really bad i heard....brick is good, Howell is in really bad shape i heard

Tru2Chevy 08-28-2011 04:59 PM

Took me 2 hours to make my normally under 20 minute commute from Ewing to Plainsboro today. Ended up having to go through Trenton, Hamilton to 33 to Old Trenton Road, to 571, then out to 130 up near Cranberry to cut back over and get to Rt 1. (Dey Road to Scudders Mill Rd. to Rt 1 North is open, iin case anyone needs to go that way). South of Scudder's Mill Rd. Rt 1 is completely shut down until the other side of the 95 / 295 interchange. Major flooding there.

Tru2Chevy 08-28-2011 05:17 PM

I thought I noticed a C4 sitting in your driveway the other day when I went past....and yea, that water continues all the way out to Whitehead Rd under Rt 1, dunno how far on the other side.
