For those of you who haven't heard about it. http://instacane.com/ There are some crazy pictures on there if you can look through the junk.

Dealt with this yesterday; gutters clean, gutter guards firmly in place so they won't pack with leaves.

I might have to tie my carport tent down to my truck soon, wind is getting sketchy and supposed to get worse.

Beach is down to maybe 20ft of sand before the boardwalk, and the major part of teh storm has yet to hit.

Dis gun b good

So I just got done strapping my carport tent down to my truck, figuring that 2+ tons of truck should hold it down and in place.

I'm really hoping that I didn't just create the worlds biggest Chevy kite.

I went for a drive this morning. Not many people out and other than a stiff breeze, it is kinda nice out. I know the main part isn't here yet, but I really doubt that northern NJ is gonna get hit as hard as the south will.

Just be careful the car port doesn't get loose and play pinball with your truck under it in the wind.

The_Bishop 10-29-2012 10:30 AM

I'm keeping my eye on it. If I get too worried, I'll cut the straps and wave goodbye to it but I'm hoping it doesn't come to that.

The legs are staked down with 2 foot long metal pegs, and now I have ratchet straps tying the frame of it down to the tow points on the front of the truck and to my warn recovery shackle in the rear hitch. I was mostly concerned with it lifting off the ground, but I don't think that'll happen now.

Rumor is that Funtown Pier in Seaside got taken out. Just a rumor, but I got it from a credible source.

Nah, Funtown Pier is for the little kids. It needs to take out the Beach Bar and Jack and Bill's.

the reporters could actually stay dry and warm in the news van, Id prefer watching the clowns jump up and down for the camera man

Mike 10-29-2012 12:21 PM

Time for work. At least a 16 hour shift

OG 10-29-2012 12:21 PM
