The results are in!!

1st Pass
RT - .152
60' - 2.191
1/8 - 8.849
1/4 - 13.561
mph - 104.65

2nd Pass
RT - .822 (I fell asleep)
60' - 2.021
1/8 - 8.645
1/4 - 13.357
mph - 104.60

Im VERY pleased with the results. I think the car has a 13.1 in it, but I would have needed another pass or two to extract it out. If my buddy in the SRT8 came... He would have been beaten.

damn thats not bad for a boat anchor of an engine that cant pull passed 90...

If you could get sub 2.0 60' i wouldnt doubt seeing something more like a 13.0 or maybe less if the air temp was cooler. Congrats man.

Mark B 05-29-2008 06:54 AM

What nights do Atco & Englishtown allow street cars to run. I WANNA GO AGAIN. SOON!!

I need to see 13.0

Between the facts that I forgot to soften up my front struts last night & I wasnt power shifting I know I can get it.

JSPERFORMANCE 05-29-2008 06:55 AM

A little nitrous will put you in the low 12s..

JerzLT1 05-29-2008 07:16 AM

what rim/tire combo were you using?

Mark B 05-29-2008 11:49 AM

Fronts were at 40psi, Rears were at 22psi

First pass I dumped the clutch @ 2500rpm
Second pass I quickly released it at 3500rpm

Mark B 05-29-2008 12:53 PM

Forgot to mention...

My first run I ended up going against a modded Ford GT. It was a very close race. haha

There was a Charger SRT8 Super Bee there that ran a best of 13.7
And there was a Chrysler 300C SRT8 which ran a best of 13.5

I wont be there but good luck my friend! i dont want to come off sounding like a know-it-all or anything like that, but try to launch it around 4,000 rpm, slipping the clutch quickly. dumping it will only make u spin or bog. most likely bog at that rpm. once i had full suspension and a 12 bolt, clutch dumps at 5500-6k, yielded some good 60's lol

Mark B 05-29-2008 10:05 PM

Well I wasnt able to beat last nights best. I ran a best of 13.37 @ 105mph. 60's are still around 2.0XX

More practice is needed

bad64chevelle 05-29-2008 10:10 PM

I saw you there tonight man, just didnt get a chance to come over and see you. My buddy needed to pull his head out of his ass, he was pre-occupied with something and he just was unable to drive the truck like he normally does.

With some more seat time, youll be getting 1.9s, maybe even 1.8 60's im sure the car has got it

getting it out of the hole is the trickiest part when it comes to manual transmissions

sweetbmxrider 05-30-2008 11:32 PM

congrats dude! thats damn impressive to me

Tru2Chevy 05-31-2008 07:07 PM

Pump the front tire pressure up too while you are at the track. Get them up to 50 or 60 psi once you get there.

Just remember to air them back down before you leave!

Nice times on your boat anchor man!!! That's pretty damn impressive!!! Hope I cut at least a 12 w/ the SloMaro...

Squirrel 06-01-2008 11:55 PM

Mike Something 06-02-2008 07:12 PM
