Ya, the front pretty nasty, but for some reason the back keeps reminding me of a crossfire

IROCZman15 01-11-2013 10:07 PM

the front of it reminds me of a Ferrari 458 italia

NastyEllEssWon 01-11-2013 10:50 PM

Wow that is pretty close to the dodge viper styling...except someone took a crap all over the back of it. Viper is now the pinnacle of American Sports car styling :D

EWWWW. That ass. Who the hell hires GM designers?! It's like everyone that was part of good cars was let go and kept the people behind the Aztec. Judging by this hyped up, all new "Corvette" I'll be wasting my time waiting to see what the next gen Camaro even looks like before buying a new car.

do i understand this right? if the new vette was nicer you'd be down at the dealer buying a new one?

I understand the point youre making that if he's not in the market then he's obviously not the type of person theyre trying to sell the car to, but in defense of no one, after reading that I had a hard time trying to figure out exactly what demographic theyre trying to reach with this one. i know a lot of the times we wish cars would come out of concept stage a bit more radical than they usually do, but this is just....its ugly.

You're not that far off buddy.

Edit.
Ask anyone I've talked to from this board recently, I said I wished I'd bought a vette.

But I'm trying to be more sensible right now, and GM offers one, ONE car to my demographic, and that car is a Base, RWD, V6, and heavy car. Lets be honest here, GM is trying to be something they are not, they succeeded.

Oh i cant wait for your all to be reprimanded for your comments against such an awesome car, truly ahead of its time by the resident GM rep.

PolarBear 01-13-2013 11:33 AM

New Vette to be revealed later today

Jersey Mike 01-13-2013 12:37 PM

Probably going to look awesome in person. V2 went through this same bashing & now everyone and their mother ogles and hyperventilates when one passes. Wait until you've seen it in person before you put anything in stone.

I personally can't wait to see one up close.

Right!? He's gonna talk about how the Corvette is a major competitor to Italian supercars. He might even have statistics showing that the Cruze is the most popular car in high school and college parking lots, proving me wrong and shaming me into staying loyal with GM.

sweetbmxrider 01-13-2013 01:19 PM

You're damn right.

Actually I'm in the same boat as well. My Saturn is 100 percent paid off for a year now, been saving the payment money from that for a down payment on a new car. I've been car shopping the last few weeks now and I figured I'd give the Chevy lots a browse....its really discouraging to do so. Everything looks the same, just different sizes and what finally does look different (Camaro) looks like crap. I'd actually have no problem right now plopping the money down on a challenger but I'd rather pick something up LSx powered and holding out hope that GM can bring out a decent RWD car thats not hideous

Someone from matchbox designed that thing. And God saw it was bad and lost faith in humanity.

coolmanvette75 01-13-2013 02:53 PM

According to the magazine, base vette gets 471hp and comes standard with brembos. Z51 gets bigger brembos and magnetic ride control. Hmmm
