so if they are grounded all the time wouldn't the car just flood out? something doesn't seem right about the test

LTb1ow 07-18-2018 02:13 PM

If the hot was grounded, in theory it should pop the fuse. None of the injectors would fire then.

LS1ow 07-18-2018 02:14 PM

Im gunna just go over everything with actual ohm meter after worjk

Aye but only if its before the injector (load on the circuit) right? If its pinched right before the switch that controls the injector, wouldn't it just stay at 100% PWM and flood, if its all 8 doing it? haha.

That's what I'd do. Wiring sucks but it feels good when you find the problem

LS1ow 07-18-2018 03:01 PM

I never used a 2 lead test light before, so I just want to make sure.

On way home from work now, will report back in about an hour

wretched73 07-18-2018 03:13 PM

Did you set the car on fire yet?

Where are your leads again?

sweetbmxrider 07-18-2018 04:31 PM

You can use that test light as a noid light

Black to ground stud on drive shock tower, red directly into pink wire terminal on injector plug

LS1ow 07-18-2018 07:08 PM

Just be to safe I am going to try to get a noid light set from a tech at work, I’m sure one of them got one. Also going to try to verify spark again. Have not done so since swapping plugs a few months back.

LTb1ow 07-19-2018 06:21 AM

If you got power and ground to each injector, and you know the PCM is commanding them on, well, time for an LT1.

pretty much. if you have spark, compression, fuel pressure, and this happening... should run

V 07-19-2018 06:38 AM

Probably not helpful, but got fuel at injectors on that side? I didnt go back to read what type of fuel rails you have but maybe there's an obstruction or air pocket?

yessir. My rail feeds in from DS, right before injector one. Deff fuel in the rail

LTb1ow 07-19-2018 08:58 AM

Noid light, then, new PCM time

Are the plugs wet? With it running, pull each ignition wire off one at a time. The air gap between the plug and wire will be enough to make a nice audible clicking noise to let you know its firing....

V 07-19-2018 07:51 PM

.hmm, another long shot... coils on driver side good? coil harness good? I'm just thinking maybe the cylinders are not firing, not because injectors are out, but maybe because coils are out?... can't hurt to check right?

edit, yeah basically what adam said, check for spark on that side, lol. I didn't read the recent replies until after i posted.
