Oh yeah, also changed the routing of the fuel supply line. It preiouvsly took a 90* turn out of the rail towards the fender, so the supply line was bent in the shape of a question mark. Not a good look. Got a straight AN connector instead of the 90* and now its a nicer 180* bend instead of a preztel twist.

Looks good! Love the shorts- socks and sandals, not so much. :p
And I'm a little disappointed in the emblems. You have red and white but no blue??? I think the / could easily be painted blue |

Not much to update. Ive been working fullshifts at work (630-6) the past week and a few days covering coworkers on vaca so i haven't had much time to mess with or drive.
Did decide to take it to work this morning. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1816/...33912aef_z.jpg |

Made it ! Forgot there was a jets preseason game. MetLife stadium is literally dead center of my 5 mile commute to work. Normally takes me 10 minutes, took me 53 minutes to get home today.

53 minutes of seat time is a good thing!
no issues sitting in all that slow traffic though? |
Yeah, that was a good test, Mick. Put it through the ringer for a while as you try to expose the gremlins. Congrats, man! This is awesome!

So there are quiet a few issues with the car, but im not sure they are actual issues. It may just be the nature of the beast.
1. There is a lot of creeks and squeaks on the inside of the car. Im pretty sure that is due to the panels having about half the fasteners, no sound deadening, and it being an Fbody. Not really concerned with this, but an issue none the less. I am not jersey mike, so i will not doing anything about this. 2. The passenger side suspension is VERY creaky. If i bounce the passenger side it makes a lot of noise. If i bounce the driver side it makes no sound. The suspension set up in the front end is Strange Coilovers, Spohn Ajustable tubular lower Arms(Spherical rod ends), Spohn non adjustable tubular upper arms(poly bushings) and a PA Racing Tubular K. Thinking a WD40 bath as step 1. 3. The driver side suspension feels like its made of bricks. If i hit anything larger than a manhole cover, it jolts my spine into next week. Maybe the rebound rate needs to be adjusted? Seems odd that the driverside is so stiff when i hit a pot hole, let the driver side lifts much more than passenger side on take off. 4. Im not sure if im not used to driving anything with a large stall, but something doesnt seem right. Car has a Yank SS4000. If i punch it from a dead stop, it seems perfect. But if im on the highway cruising and give it some little pedal to change lanes or something it seems "floaty". And it sometimes seems like it doesnt know if it wants to be on 3rd or overdrive. Im going to recheck trans fluid and go from there. |
Sounds like we built the same car. Get a tune and Send It. Pick up the piece after the first 1/4 mile run.
|
Yeah I'd lube **** up, adjust that driver shock tighter cause its probably bottoming out, and sounds like the shift point mph and rpm needs to be adjusted. Just figure out what speed it is wandering between 3rd and od and what would be a better compromise with the roads you run.

Okay so while the front end of off I want to address the fog light issue.
I tested the bulbs themselves with a battery, they are good. Can some with a running F body with working fogs(longshot, I know) confirm that with the car not running but key powers the fog lights will turn on? If not, what does it require for foglight illumination? I didn’t see a fog light fuse, so that’s out. Also when I check the bulb, I checked with the power and ground to eather pins and it works both ways. Not sure if matters on the car. I would assume flipped bulb pins is not the issue since the little light on the fog switch doesn’t light up at all. Can someone find me a pin out for the fog switch? I think the brown pin would be power in, but It’s like a 4-5 pin connector, so I want to know which one is signal. So if I have power at the switch, I can jump it to the signal wire and check. |
You had the parking lights on too, right?
|
Do you have HID or halogen fogs?
