Leds should be directional, as they are light emitting diodes and diodes are directional. I would grab a test light and make sure you got pah and gruh.
Brown is power in from headlight switch. Yellow is power out to fog lamp relay. Light Green is indicator lamp. Gray is switch illumination. Black is ground. The brown also feeds the power input side of the relay. The purple goes to the lights themselves. |
were is this fog light relay you speak of?
And ill check to see if i have them backwards, but even if i did wouldnt the light on the switch light up ? |
Yeah switch would light up.
Driver side electrical center #1 which is closer to the strut tower. Its one of the two small relays. The other small one is the horn. The three large ones are for fans. |
Switch was bad. Had extra one upstairs in shop from previous part out, we have illumination

Let there be light?

Was super dissapoint with the LED bulbs in the stock fog housings, and a big bad birdy told me HIDs dont fit well in them... so i compromised. Had a set of 3" round LED fog lights from #JeepLife laying around, and this is the end result.
Before, factory nonsense. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1886/...9df971f6_z.jpg Now, Jeep Life. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1882/...917985e2_z.jpg https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1865/...b9b49d45_z.jpg https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1879/...7f6ef05c_z.jpg They bolted right up to the factory mount using the factory hardware. Just had to bend the tabs out to clear the larger light housing. Im going to end up cutting them off so it looks cleaner. Will wire them up today and see how they are. |
Do you have a jeep thing on your air dam as well....?
fuggin heep bros |
Got a part number on those? I was thinking of doing something similar on the Trans Am myself!
|
Bls has a factory drop in setup that is led

So lights are cool and all but has this thing made a pass down the 1/4 yet? (Consequences!)

Finally had a sec to wire the LED fogs up. They are a flood beam so they kinda throw light everywhere. But i think them sitting so back in the bumper will help not destroy oncoming traffics retinas .

You're now "that guy".

Part 2 of front end off shens is this.
Ive been planning on changing the intake set up and i wanted to do so before the car hits the dyno. I came across a deal on a Chris1313 Non Ac ram air set up so i scooped that up. And i also came a cross a 104mm lid to go with it as well in place of the cracked SLP lid. Previously the transcooler was mounted at the bottom of the rad, that needed to be moved to fit the larger non AC ram air set up. The lid should be here today or tomorrow. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1897/...9bbfd1cb_z.jpg https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1851/...2bb6a420_z.jpg https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1871/...5e399613_z.jpg |
That intake is neat-o. Do other people have issues with overheating when they run it? it looks like it covers the majority of the radiator.

Yeah it would be very similar to stock since there is a plastic shroud to help channel air from the air dam across the radiator. If anything, adding more material to block the air from going anywhere else but the radiator would be a good thing.
|
Welp, this rad talk must have jinxed me. Pulled the car out of the garage to work on another project inside. Let the car idle for a few mins just to get some fluid moving... andddd its leaking coolant. The bottom of the ram air is pretty sharp, i must have sliced into the rad a bit when installing. New rad is on the way.
