oh that reminds me, yesterday when i was having a meeting with the owner of englewood chevy about my truck, i overheard some of the sales team talking about the new camaro. I didnt get all of it, but i did hear them saying how the dealer markup will be insane, like 8k+ over MSRP...i was like WTF... I dont think that should be allowed. its not like itll be a limited run right? if this is true, ill look for a used one around 2011. i hate dealerships, and now i have a few that hate me too. lol

and the sad thing is that people are still gunna buy them and the salesmen know they are going to make a killing on them

very true... if GM wants to make killing on the cars themselves(not just the dealers making big bucks), they should enforce and advertise the camaros for sale at a set price.. too bad that wouldnt happen.

It would be nice, but GM has NO control over the dealers. Dealers are privately owned. GM cannot say word one about the car. It is, in fact, illegal for GM to do anything. MSRP is only a suggested price.
As for mark up, that will lead to 2 things
#1- very little sale of the Camaro
#2- upset die hard Camaro fans
And there will be a dealer somewhere that will be selling them at MSRP, ready to order for whoever walks in, and they will be getting the business. On GMI, we have a forum dedicated to dealers around the US. We plan on coming up with a list of dealers that will work with customers with there request.
