only for you weaklings that get hangovers. :finger:

LS1Hawk 03-16-2006 04:20 PM

Don't think I'm going to dyno. I just got the bill with my new computer on it, so I'm set back a little right now. But I'll definitely show up with the car and hang out for a bit.

or for us that wake up and are still drunk from the night before, either way i dont like getting up before noon, and besides the only thing that i get hangovers from are whiskey and excessive amounts of hard alcohol and no water

79CamaroDiva 03-16-2006 07:29 PM

this club can really never keep anything on topic....

my beer hangover just makes me incredibly spacey. You'll think I'm completely fried, more so than usual. Usually no headache to accompany it though.

Brando56894 03-16-2006 09:35 PM

haha, that we cant melissa.... and yea i rarely ever get hangovers and when i do it really sucks cuz im like dead when i do get one...

TTPMatt 03-17-2006 09:19 AM

please try to get to TTP around 8ish so that we can get started on time and be sure that everyone has a chance to put their car on the rollers.

I'm planning on leaving about 06:00. it's a 3 hour drive so plan on me around 9ish.

Firebird67dude 03-20-2006 11:27 AM

I plan on showing up for a little bit. Don't think i'll want to dyno the car. Doesnt the dyno put a pretty good load on the motor? I just dont want to blow it up due to the fact that i just put it all back together. Then from there if some of you ppl. want we can cruz up to my bro's house and party. outside fire pit, huge sand box(for u kids at heart) and yea as much as u can drink.

Tru2Chevy 03-20-2006 11:28 AM

Running on the dyno won't be much different than a few WOT blasts while merging onto the highway....

Savage_Messiah 03-20-2006 12:31 PM

My dad: "what is that, don't they basically just put it up there and race it?"
me: "umm... yea basically, and it measures your hp, tq and A/F"
him: "so can't you just go to the track and do tht for less money?"
::commence 15 min convo explaining to him that it measures power and how good of a deal this is::

NJSPEEDER 03-20-2006 02:30 PM

a dyno is actually less load than when you are normally driving your car.

WayFast84 03-20-2006 02:31 PM

But cant they like add loads to simulate hills and crap? O yeah If my car is not ready for dyno(probably wont) bad64chevelle is gonna take it from me. Is that ok?

Tru2Chevy 03-20-2006 02:49 PM

Certain types of dynos can do that, I think you are thinking of a Mustang Dyno. TTP has a Dynojet...

I can't make it due to family matters out of my reach. Im not asking for a refund, but if Craig accepts, Ill pass the torch to him if thats ok. Sorry guys :-(

*EDIT* Id rather my money go to good use rather than nothing.

Savage_Messiah 03-20-2006 04:07 PM

He did accept... which makes 4 3.8's dynoing... 2 camaros 2 birds... weeee

Brando56894 03-20-2006 05:01 PM

v6's FTW!!

Tru2Chevy 03-20-2006 08:00 PM

It sounds like Garrett will be bring his Mini Cooper S up to dyno as well on Saturday. Anxious to see what that puts out as he has an intake, exhaust and a 17% pulley on it. :)

If you get some real springs on that thing and bring it back up here for some minor wot a/f tweeking & I think you'll be happy with how it'll sit :D

Brando56894 03-20-2006 11:49 PM

damn those ppl for not buying my laptop and me for not getting tuned! i should still be getting decent numbers though (hopefully)

The Fixer 03-21-2006 08:31 AM

I have official confirmation that my schedule is clear on Saturday, so I'll be there to hang out. If it's warm enough, I'm gonna bring my son too; he'll have a blast listening to the cars wind out on the dyno!
