Exhaust cutout made and installed on the Ram.

Okay I got this finished over a week ago, however I just got the pics today. I wanted to toss a cutout on the Ram, so I got one and then then instead of buying the metal cutout itself my buddy decided to make me one and try out a desigh he made and then switch over to a Race Ready eventually to see if theres a difference. Since the cat was clogged beyond belief I had to change the ypipe and cat out so this was the perfect time to weld up a cutout and an electric valve. These are the pics previous to it being installed (installed pics will come later)

Here are a few pics from this weekend. My buddy Steve has the 02 Ram CTD on the left, my 97 is on the right.(and of course the Challenger is in the middle)

Just wanted to post this up for a few members who have been wondering about this project. It sounds great, got a few small leaks at the manifolds I have to take care of, but at the end of winter I will switch over to a race ready and see which design is more effective for the Open cutout. Probably wont notice a difference though.

haha yeah they are...we are going to a concert Thursday and we plan on them being filthy for when we tailgate :-) This was for some pics we wanted to get, and this was after going through my field to get em nice and dirty, but my damn mudflaps prevent too much of that, until I get my 35s on there

camaro2you 10-24-2006 03:34 PM

WayFast84 10-24-2006 03:50 PM

i was just thinking, since the curves and the inside being a different shape, wouldnt the cut out flow worse then stock?

Looks good Jon, not exactly the way I would have made a cut-out but not bad for a do it yourself set up!
