Car show at Jackson Outlets

Just letting everyone know, starting May 25th, there is gonna be a big car show every last friday of the month. It is open to the public and all cars are welcome. I'll be down there with my 80 T/A. It takes place at the jackson outlets at about 6:00. They set up in the middle of the lot and lots of cool cars and good times.

Yep, the Jackson cruise is a nice one. Always some great stuff and great people. I'm not sure if I can make the May cruise but I'll be at a few this summer.

Yup, lots of old cars show up in stock and modified condition. Street rods and musclecars too. But the cruise is technically limited to vehicles up to 1974 but a lot of newer cars slip in early. Get there before 6 if you can, it gets packed fast if the weather is nice.

BonzoHansen 05-15-2007 09:59 PM

If all is well, me & the 77 will be there...else just me.

jimmyboy8301 05-16-2007 08:50 AM

you have to start getting there around 4 if you hope to get a place to park. thats all of 5 minutes from me.

Rafterman 05-16-2007 09:48 AM

I always went there on break but now I can bring my car since i have the day off.

That's why I will never go to another one of those ever. I took my T/A there with a few friends cars also and was treated rudely by the people hosting it.......and thier t-shirts suck......something like "what part of pre 74 do you not understand". I don't remember for sure. It was about 6 years ago.

Yeah, Timmy has the same complaint. Grumpy old men, LOL, I guess they hate being asked the same question 1000 times. I don’t know, it is their show. The lot is jammed most nights with old cars, and that is their thing – old cars. Kind of like if we didn’t allow Mustangs into the car show part of the Nats. It is an F-Body show, not an any kind of car show. But there is no call for being rude. I still like to go to see the cars. If I didn’t go to places because I didn’t like the organizer/owner, I’d probably stay home a lot. :)

Back to topic, I don’t know if the 77 will make it, it is going to be close. If it is running tonight, then maybe. But I got the electrical done last night, except the headlight relays, which I can do later.

Hey Scott if you need any help, let me know. Ill be heading up to K-Mart tonight, so let me know. As for the way the Fossils (the car club) run the Jackson Outlets, I dont agree with being nasty about things, however I do understand that they only want pre 74.

Swing by afterwards, I'll most likely be in the garage until at least 11.

They should make it a rolling 25 years, like QQ plates.

rafterman where you at that cops and rodders show in brunswick a few weeks ago with that car in your sig??

BonzoHansen 05-22-2007 09:44 PM

I'll be there...but not my 77...I decided my life is not an episode of Overhaulin' LOL

Jon, I found the clutch noise. The dust sheild was hitting the flywheel bolts. I guess the ARP bolts are longer. I drove it a bit today. Overall pretty good, but too many little things to get done by then. I'm tired of cramming.

See, it is outside!

Sweet! Good job scott! yeah we really moved along fast last night getting that thing started and almost moving. No sense in hurting you or the car just for a jackson outlet cruise.

I hear that. I was going last night and I just hit a wall. I had to quit. But I did drive it around the local street. Made a run down to the train station & back. Overall, pretty good. Got some little gremlins to deal with – PS cooler line leak, I tightened a leak at the fuel filter, might have a slow gas tank leak – that would suck. But the hood is down off the shelf, so I can start on that tonight.

It does. Especially since it went relatively trouble free. It seems I wire cars better then your friend.
