Finally...(no relation to fidget's thread!)

Went to Deleware to look at a 2001 black on black WS6 Ram Air M6 ttop trans am today. Its only downfall is 94,xxx miles on it, but the car does not physically show it...typical little teenie pinhole leak on the rear in the seal...no biggie, drives fine, everything was good. If anything, its going to need a driver side window motor soon. again, no big deal. headlight motors recently replaced, brand new brakes all around. So i put a deposit on it today, and the formula is sale pending to dravenblackbird and the 4th gen 3.8L auto is officially for sale and needs to go ASAP.

so, liz is upgrading to a LS1 biznitches!!!! mwahahahhaha!!!

Savage_Messiah 05-20-2007 08:57 PM

which rear seal? Dunno what you mean by a typical leak unless you mean the rear main seal. Other downfall is the whole everyone and their grandma havng a black on black ws6 but what can ya do.... :-P

Good luck with it

rear "pinion", right between the pumpkin and the rest of the rear...just a matter of replacing the gasket/RTV

you mean the rear differential is leaking?

WildBillyT 05-20-2007 09:12 PM

It's a rear pinion seal. It's not a "main" anything... :D

Do yourself a favor, pick up a set of 4.10s and an install kit and have Josh put em in

88FormulaChick 05-21-2007 02:47 AM

i plan to. these have the 2.73's stock right? or somethin to that effect... (keep in mind its almost 4am and i cant think of numbers off the top of my head...)

Mike 05-21-2007 05:07 AM

ryanfx 05-21-2007 10:24 PM

88FormulaChick 05-21-2007 11:42 PM

haha, hey twin! no, ive always wanted a black on black 98-02 WS6 ram air M6 trans am...and i finally found her at a affordable price.

Savage_Messiah 05-21-2007 11:47 PM

Isn't "WS6" and "Ram Air" in reference to ls1 T/As a little redundant?

88FormulaChick 05-22-2007 01:38 PM

possibly. dont be hating though.

3.23's actually i think.... the m6's had 3.42's and the base ta's had 2.73's

bubba428 05-22-2007 04:24 PM

the V6s all came with 3.23s the V8s came with 3.42 the SS and WS6 may have had 3.73s depending on if they were ordered that way

Where did you hear about this?

bubba428 05-22-2007 06:34 PM

I meant a "ordered for customer" car...not a dealer ad on

Huh? Are you talking about a special RPO or something?

mike's right, 3.42s :-D

and 3.73s were not a 4th gen f body option, no "special orders"

..... no?

V 05-23-2007 12:38 AM

MANY v6s came with 3.42s

Savage_Messiah 05-23-2007 01:31 AM

You really think I don't know Y87s?? I was "no"-ing the 3.73s, ive always herd they never came stock (on a 4th gen at least)

And thinking about my previous statement.... taking into account the points brounght up on EPFBA.... pick up some 2.73s, not 4.10s :-D

88FormulaChick 05-23-2007 01:18 PM

so the guy called today, he needs me to pick it up tomorrow. So i just called USAA and got my own insurance so i could register it in my name. I've never had my own insurance before and they made it easy as cake...only $115 a month or so. So i'll have her by tomorrow afternoon :) yayy!!

my parents are going to love me having the formula (until draven picks it up), the 84, my 2000 bird (until i sell it) and now my 01 trans am. I guess its a good thing rick isnt moving his 93 Z28 to my house this saturday anymore...i think my parents would kill me having 5 fbodies lol.
