The T/A is down indefinitely

Well I found something today while changing my oil that you absolutely don't want to find stuck to the magnetic bolt in the oil pan......2 large pieces of metal :( I'm going to pull the valve covers off this week and check things out. Needless to say I'm not in the best of moods

deadtrend1 11-14-2007 03:59 PM

bandit88 11-14-2007 04:11 PM

OH NO!!!!!!! I'll drink some sort of alcholic beverage for you!

foff667 11-14-2007 04:21 PM

Large chunks of metal in the oil pan are never a good sign

Maybe it is shedding unneeded weight for you....them LS motors is smart I tell ya.

NightRydaSS 11-14-2007 05:00 PM

you see something stange attached to the bolt...you realize what it is, and then an unsettling feeling appears in your stomach...then...:barf:

Damn Bill, getting rid of the car. I definitely know how you feel. I almost sold my T/A this year for the same reason. Breaking the car always makes you ask why you do it in the first place. Been thinking about that all day yesterday.

Definitely had that feeling. This will be motor #2 so I hope it's not serious.

Just for moral support I hope.....

Sorry to hear man, hopefully it's nothing major and the BBoD will be striking fear into the hearts and minds of unsuspecting victims in no time.
