A cop story you guys may find intersting

So im in middlesex hanging out with a lady friend and we stop at the wendys on route 28 on our way to a friends place. Im in the drive through and a cop rolls by, looks at me, goes around the place and rolls by me again looking at me. We get our food and were leaving and now theres 3 cops in the parking lot all looking at me! In fact one of them gave my friend the peace sign?!?!

Now im a bit nervous to say the least....so I make the right outta there and they follow me and pull me over in front of the middlesex high school....So they cop explains to me how there has been an identified "red camaro" rolling through middlesex, dunellen, bound brook, S. bound brook etc. etc. shooting up houses and cars with paintballs!

So im trying to get out of there and i have nothing to hide so i tell them to search the car and they did....now i have alot of ish iun the car cuz i was working on my heater core and some of the dash panels were in the back seat...and there was a tire for my grandmas mini-van and my welding equipment and tool box so it took awhile for the 3 cops to search everything. They didnt find anything other than a sling shot i got from the poconos (wich they checked for paint marks ) The whole time im just BSing with them.

So i got off free and made them look stupid and my food got cold:cry: and got like 30 calls from friend who saw me get pulled over my 3 cops and thought it was a drug bust:lol:

~The End~

JerzLT1 11-29-2007 10:24 AM

did you tell them it wasnt a camaro?

alamantia 11-29-2007 10:32 AM

lol

Untamed 11-29-2007 10:34 AM

Yeah I think the Firebird symbol and/or "Pontiac" placard on the DS headlight shroud would have been a dead giveaway.

At least the cops were following up on it and didn't get an attitude with you.

Mike 11-29-2007 10:42 AM

yeah, how did they feel stupid for properly following up a lead?

DaSkinnyGuy 11-29-2007 10:53 AM

Not a good lead if its the wrong car.

so we would think haha. Also, if they were staring at it, you'da thunk they'd notice that. Not to mention the unpainted hood sets it off

1. the officers may not have known the difference between firebirds and camaros, othert than that they look the same.

2. the officers may have assumed that the person who described the car may not have known the difference, and maybe confused a moving firebird with a moving camaro.

what it comes down to is that from his post, the officers were polited, explained the situation, and ELIMINATED him as a suspect, and not only that, but it seems he was polite back to them and now has probably earned some brownie points with the several officers that were on the scene.

only downfall of the whole situation is that his food got cold.

Amen. The cops have to rule out everything, and a caller that doesn't know any better could easily confuse the two.

"excuse me officer, but this is a Firebird" LOL But seriously, atleast they were cool. The last time I got pulled over the cop was all kinds of PISSED. He thought my car was WAY too loud lol.

Raist103 11-29-2007 03:32 PM

Well that would make you look even more suspicious, even if you have the right to say no. not only that, im sure the cops would have an attitude with you after that, so just go along, and if you have nothing to hide, then by all means allow them to do what they ned to and oyur on your way.

procamaroz28 11-30-2007 02:16 PM

id refuse the search b/c i got no time... neeed to go home and eat lol . but if the cop was being nice then why not... btw he prob knew your car was a firebird he just stoped you cause he was lonley and needed someone to talk to:rofl:

Mike 11-30-2007 03:27 PM

why didnt you take the food when you got out?

Tru2Chevy 12-01-2007 09:53 PM

A friend of mine refused a search when he got pulled over for speeding in western PA. He ended up sitting on the side of the I-79 for almost 4 hours while a supervisor showed up with a warrant to search since he basically flipped out on the cops about his civil liberties when they mentioned the word "search". Then they went all out, they practically stripped the car, and of course he had to put it all together.

All most likely would have been avoided if he hadn't spazzed on them....

i did but it was real cold out and i didnt wanna look like a jerk eating while the one cop is talking to me lol

and as far as the search goes...y not let them search my car? i had nothing to hide...they were just following a lead and this is my home town so the cops now no im a good guy...

besides saying no would have just made that night much much longer..

bottom line is be vere careful in choosing your battles with the police because 9 times out of 10 it will be a losing one for yourself
