PINKS ALL OUT INFO JULY 25-26

PINKS ALL OUT REGISTRATION INFO JULY 25-26 2008

You must read all of it they will get pissed if you call -- jz

1. This will be a muffled event-NO EXCEPTIONS! You must have "real" mufflers with baffles. No bullet type mufflers will be accepted.

2. All NHRA rules will apply and will be enforced. Remember you must have all of your proper safety equipment, driver credentials, chassis certifications, etc. in order to participate at this event.

3. No employees, their families, sponsors, track officials, race coordinators, etc. are eligible to be chosen to race for the $10,000 and the pinks all out run-off. No special treatment will be made to anyone. Please don't ask.

4. The racer registration process will be open to the public on Sunday January 6, 2008 at 12:01am. It will be done via a special e-mail address that will be announced to the public on or about December 26, 2008 at the official track website www.racewaypark.com, look for the pinks all out logo. All e-mails sent prior 1/6/08 @12:01am will be deleted from the process. The special e-mail address is for racer registration only. No questions will be answered.

5. All racer registrants will be taken in time order as shown on the e-mail clock. They will be numbered 1-400. The next group of 401-500 will be considered alternates.

6. All of the first group of registrants, 1-400, will receive a "phone call" from the Raceway Park Tech staff to go over all of the muffler and NHRA safety rules that will apply on July 25-26. Once we feel that you are good to participate in pinks all out, you will be invited to do so. You will still have to pass a driver and vehicle inspection once you get to Raceway Park.

7. There will be mandatory information that you will have to include in your e-mail on 1/6/08. This includes full name, full address, at least 1 daytime phone #, 2 would be better. Year, make, and model of vehicle. Best ET, best MPH. If you can't fill out all of the information, you will not receive a phone call. If you can't pass the phone interview, you cannot participate on 7/25-26.

8. Do not call Raceway Park to see if you are in once registration is complete. We will let you know via a phone call sometime in January. Please, do not call us to ask. This will only slow down the process.

I've seen rails and pro mods "qualifying" for pinks all out on TV before...although Melissa prolly wouldn't put real mufflers on the rail just for this event.

johnjzjz 12-29-2007 08:37 PM

i have talked to 10 of the guys we race with and we all agree the back pressure caused by the stock type mufflers and 12 to 14 to 1 motors would blow the head gaskets right out the sides of the block - have 25 thousand in our new one and its just not the right event for us to compete in -- jz

 borla makes a muffler that bolts on the headders.. quiets them down pretty nicely, but im not sure they would count.

NJSPEEDER 12-30-2007 09:07 PM

etown requires chamber style mufflers. they don't allow collector mufflers, bullets, or glass packs.

OneFast383 12-30-2007 09:58 PM

make sure you have no anti freeze in your car, water only and here was some other tech stuff we had to have for pinks all out in rockingham

TECH REQUIREMENTS FOR THOSE PLANNING ON RACING:
Must be a door car running 12.99 or quicker
All drivers must wear a helmet
All cars must have a coolant overflow tank - NO ANTIFREEZE
All Nitrous bottles must be securely mounted and vented
Seat belts, all vehicles. If vehicle requires a roll bar or roll cage, proper restraints are required
Protective clothing is mandatory on all drivers running 9.00 or quicker in 1/4 mile (jacket, gloves, boots)
Drive shaft loop mandatory on any vehicle using racing slicks
A minimum of a 6 point roll bar is mandatory on all convertibles running 11.00 to 13.49
A roll cage is mandatory on all vehicle that exceeds 135 mph or 9.00 or quicker in 1/4 mile
Master cutoff mandatory on all vehicle that exceeds 135 mph or 9.00 or quicker in 1/4 mile

yea on the early ones they had the locals showing up with their bracket cars and dragsters. The latest ones however seem to be people bringing door cars and everyone trying to hit the 9.80-10.80 range as thats what they've been choosing on most of the shows.

baddest434 01-04-2008 02:31 PM

i'll be putting exhaust on my car if i get chosen. just for pinks then back to open headers:mrgreen:

from the little i know about your motor combo unless your block is o ringed to the head you will hurt it with that much back pressure 600 lift and 254 duration the static will be like 3 / 4 hundred pounds on the head gasket at 1/2 throttel - but again i have no idea what you have had done -- their are 10 guys who would like to do it as well as us but the motor wont handle it -- jz

sinistr 01-06-2008 04:29 PM

12secondv6 01-06-2008 09:23 PM
