Need Help With Sub

Just bought a 10" Bazooka Tube what do i need to hook it up?

TheBandit 01-18-2009 08:24 AM

Do they have a built in amp? Or do you need to run an external?

Knipps 01-18-2009 11:03 AM

These are typically the things you look up before you buy something

yeh i know that ive installed a lot of subs before but i guess i need a special wire to connect to the tube to run those wires. No one here has experience on this?

TheBandit 01-18-2009 09:03 PM

what cbrrmike is correct.. 4 gauge wire should be sufficient probably even smaller because that will probably barely pull any amps

Mike 01-18-2009 09:35 PM

post a picture, unless you mean a special connector, there is nothing else you should need, i have an alpine one in the garage ill check out tomorrow if it will help

Camvill 01-19-2009 12:42 PM

found out how it works i need a connector from the website do u guys know if this 24-pin will work with my aftermakret head unit? http://sasbazooka.com/products/mobil...p--24-PIN-P314

TheBandit 01-19-2009 01:40 PM

No it won't. That lists as 99 and up GM vehicle, which means that will fit your stock radio harness, but not your aftermarket. All that plug does is splice in the power and everything else everyone told you. At least it looks that way,

GP99GT 01-19-2009 03:12 PM

either post a picture of the connectors on the tube or give us a model number

Camvill 01-19-2009 05:19 PM

I think i just buy this and splice the wires to it. The model number on my tube is ba10100

Camvill 01-22-2009 07:11 PM

thanks guys :-(

TheBandit 01-22-2009 08:13 PM

Well what wires on the subwoofer? Its hard to help with such little info. If its just power ground and rcas you can just splice everything in without getting a harness. like it was said over and over.. post a picture..

Mike 01-22-2009 10:31 PM

maybe somthing like this?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Bazooka-ELA-HARN...3%3A1|294%3A50

Mike 01-22-2009 10:32 PM

that dosent say it fits your model, but it looks like you would need somthing like it.......

Camvill 01-23-2009 09:53 AM

na i says it does fit but i bought that along with a different extension harness only concern is a fuse

Mike 01-23-2009 10:37 AM

what about the fuse? you can run an inline fuse anywhere along the power wire

Camvill 01-24-2009 07:13 PM

do i have to run anything to the battery then?

maroman88 01-25-2009 01:13 PM

this thread hurts my brain lol

You ignored everyone who has tried to help you so far. We have no idea what you need to run anywhere because you havent told or shown us anything yet. In a normal amp, you goto circuit city or some place and get an amp power kit. It will have 2 big wires, a fuse, and one little wire. big ones are power and ground...little one goes to the turn on output on the stereo. Then you need a long RCA plug from circuit city. Now if you need something besides those things, post a picture or just something so SOMEBODY knows what you are talking about

Camvill 01-26-2009 10:45 PM

i know how to run a Normal amp i was asking if anyone had experience with a tube but i guess not. I figured it out thanks for the help anyways.

Camvill 02-05-2009 11:44 PM

what happens if i connect 18 awg wire from the amp to the 10 awg wire that came with the wiring kit?

Mike 02-06-2009 12:23 AM

if you use a distribution block, it should be fine
