when your in your non fbody dd

For some reason when I'm in my outback I get every turboed car and slow n/a cars trying to mess with me. When I'm in my t/a nobody makes an attempt. My cars only a 3.0 outback not an STI. I'm not saying I condone street racing, but it gets annoying after a while. Does this happen to any of you guys?

Adam1978 03-31-2010 11:20 PM

my 78 'maro is my DD, might i say bad idea! lol im planning on getting a calvalier z24 or something, but when im in say my dads truck, i have everyone trying to race me lol when im in the camaro, all i have is the occasional stock civic with his interior stripped out thinking he can own my 5.7 lol, the camaro is mostly stock, but can whoop most civics haha, but i know what you mean, my dads truck is an 05 ford ranger, and slow as anything, but i have everyone try to mess with me lol

redsoxsstink 04-01-2010 12:59 AM

i think its the fact that the camaro/firebird is a 2dr semi/performance car and people are scared to mess with it, and since the outback isnt racey they want to boast and try to walk all over it thinking their car is awesome.

for some reason when i drive my moms h2 no one messes with me:shock:

maroman88 04-01-2010 01:18 AM

noone would race the TA when i had it... wen im in the vette... every riced out piece of **** wants to race... and occasionally an M3

CHRIS67 04-01-2010 06:41 AM

Nope. But I do get mini vans swerving into my lane to take a closer look.

Wolfblitz 04-01-2010 06:58 AM

Yea, when i'm in the firebird i get hondas that rev a lil but do nothing. But if i'm in my maxima going to college or picking up parts, i get every tuner in the world trying to race.

my82roc 04-01-2010 07:46 AM

I get it all the time when im in my dd 96 civic ex.The car is stock with the factory hubcaps, exhaust and no spoiler but it seems like every ricer in the world wants to race. And like mentioned above when im in my fbody car nobody ever bothers me to race

bandit88 04-01-2010 07:52 AM

Nope. But then again my dd is a vw beetle

BigRocsFirebird 04-01-2010 08:56 AM

my firebird is my DD. i had a honda passport roll up at the light reving his open header POS last week. i don't do street raceing but i took off a little harder than normal and the v6 got to the speed limit first.

NastyEllEssWon 04-01-2010 08:59 AM

nope. my daily driver is boring, inconspicuous and bone stock. which is how i like it. no one does a double take on my car...not even police.

Anti_Rice_Guy 04-01-2010 10:02 AM

fquick didn't change this year, booo

GMkidd91 04-01-2010 10:21 AM

yeah i see tones of ricers in my Z but they all give me a look like.."o **** that" lol

Anti_Rice_Guy 04-01-2010 10:22 AM

People don't try and race my truck but they do flybys and rev since most people know it's me. I guess I'm famous!

WildBillyT 04-01-2010 10:23 AM

You do not know the meaning of the words "ricer harassment" until you have pillar gauges.

sweetbmxrider 04-01-2010 10:32 AM

So putting pillar gauges in my subby would make it worse then. Huh?

Most definitely. A friend of mine had pillar gauges in his '00 Impreza 2.5 RS (along with aftermarket wheels and a Prodrive spoiler), and the amount of ricers that tried to run his car was crazy.

the best ricers to mess with are the ones that have those annoying blue and red lights. they are very persistent, ill give them that...

Yes. If you do, do what I did and install a kill switch for your lighting. That way you can kill the gauges at night if a ricer is nearby.

Yeah, if you try to race them they get all bitchy. What's up with that.

Dark_Knight7096 04-01-2010 01:44 PM

I had pillar gauges in my GTP, Lightning, and currently in my Marauder, nobody messes with me :(

Featherburner 04-01-2010 01:58 PM

Haven't had anyone try in the G8, at least that i'm aware of. In the Silverado, it's not that they are racing, they just think it'll be easy to jump me on the light and get in front of me. They are wrong!

Whiplash Performance 04-01-2010 02:26 PM

Ive never had anybody try to race me in any of my cars.

LTb1ow 04-01-2010 05:09 PM

The death cloud over my car scares people away I suppose...loose hot leads, hanging N20 lines, raw gas smell...
