Mcnabb is now a Washington Redskin!!

He got traded about 1/2 hr ago to the redskins for there 2nd round pick this year and a 4th rounder next year!! I think its a pretty stupid move since we play the skins twice a year!!

Savage_Messiah 04-04-2010 08:01 PM

we? I didn't know this was a PA forum :)

BurninrubberGT 04-04-2010 08:05 PM

hahaha this is great, philly fans finally got rid of mcnabb, but how will they feel when they miss the playoffs and the skins do

trade your franchise qb in-division? great idea

More like how will Washington feel when they get close to the big game and McNabb crumples like wet cardboard?

I wanted them to keep Mcnabb. I liked being a playoff team pretty much every year. I remember them teams in the 90's were we just sucked. Now we are probably the worst team in the division and Mcnabb will more then likely sign a long term deal with the Skins and kill us for the the next 4 years!! Hopefully Kolb is the answer!

Squirrel 04-04-2010 08:38 PM

i hope vick is training his ass off and starts this year

NastyEllEssWon 04-04-2010 08:39 PM

washington since snyder took over has a history of bringing in big name high paid veteran players past their prime. i think it was a smart move...i mean really look at it like this...

mcabb + washingtons o line = mcrib

Frosty 04-04-2010 08:55 PM

Trading him to a rival? Good job Eagles, once again your reputation as a class organization is nothing but a fallacy. They completely botched this entire situation.

I'm not exactly sad to see McNabb go but WTF, trading him to a rival. Pathetic. How do you go from saying he's our starter and literally the next day you say you're shopping him around...again...pathetic.

better than keeping him and his whining ass for another year, paying his salary only to go to them next year with no compensation.

Frosty 04-04-2010 09:01 PM

The point is they traded him to a rival, probably could have gotten more if they just kept their mouth shuts. Joe Banner is an idiot. People in this **** hole city make McNabb out to be the scapegoat for everything..and while he's come up short in some situations the guy hasn't had any damn receivers for most of his career. There's no coincidence that he had a career year when he had a solid #1 receiver.

James Trash and Todd Stinkston, enough said. Maybe if the Eagles actually spent the $$ instead of being cheap ****s they would have had a few rings during McNabb's tenure.

The sad thing is I'm not even a huge fan of his and I'm still defending him.

Thats a very good point!! Hey they tried bringing in a #1 Reciever back in 04 and we saw what happened that year!! Then they went with Stallworth and Curtis who are good #2 Recievers but not a #1..

< from south Jersey and is the opposite of an eagles fan (ill cheer on any team playing them actually)

Squirrel 04-04-2010 09:08 PM

mcnabb and westbrook both singlehandidly carried this team for the past decade, they dont get anywhere near enough credit... if their best receiver for the majority of the past 10 years wasnt a running back they wouldve been multi super bowl champs

And We have a better line? Winston Justice, Stacy Andrews, Nick Cole, Jason Peters, Jammal Jackson ( coming off a injury). What do you think is going to happen to Kolb?

What happens if the Eagles dont make the playoffs next year and the Skins do? What will happen if there is a strike the following year in 2011 and in 2012 Whats left of our big name players will be over the 30 year old mark or older!! We will have to start to rebuild again. I mean Samuel, Hobbs, Trent Cole, Akers, Q, Weaver will all be over 30yrs old by then. If Kolb has a bad year next year and there is a strike the following year how will that effect his growth as a QB? I think there is 2 many questions with a strike on the horizon to get rid of your Starting QB to attempt to rebuild during a year with no salary cap!!
