Shots fired, your move Euros.... ...and to the "I can just buy a Corvette blah blah blah blah" crew....stay the F out, I don't feel like having another thread locked because of your baseless, ****tard know-nothing opinions/arguing. ;) http://www.camaronews.com/camaronews...-vs-everybody/ The 6thgen is still growing on me but my God....that car is poised to be sick...absolutely sick. If I had the $$ I'd say please take it now. I really want to test drive this 10-speed auto. The 8-speed is fantastic in the Corvette and 6thgen. That is all, we now bring you to your regularly schedule programming. |

Nice car. The front grill waves throw me off a bit. |

Very curious as to how it is with a 10 speed. It still blows my mind when i see that im in 8th gear in my audi. |

Land barge with a big rig ten speed? #seemslegit |

I like it a lot although I probably would prefer a more duckbill spoiler versus the mini high rise deal. This will be a performer for sure. |

Any reason why this wouldn't get the Vette's 7 speed manual? Seems odd. |

I love it. If I had the money, I'd be all over it. I don't and never will(married with a baby) so oh well. |

10 speed is going to be a really expensive item to fix when it breaks (and it will). I had seen an article a few years ago where a bunch of car engineers were going through the facts that a 7 to 8 speed is optimal in a gas engine car or truck. The less power you have, the more you need more transmission speeds. I wonder if Chevy fixed the problem with the 5th gen ZL1's power - they never performed in the 1/4 mile as the 580hp should have done. I know the 6th gen is going to be 200lbs lighter and have 60 more hp, but if it doesn't push 125mph it is going to be an issue. |
|
The problem with the 5thgen ZL1 is that it's so f'in heavy. I'm still considering picking up a 14-15 ZL1 by years end if things fall into place but after driving a few 6thgens you can really, really feel the difference in the chassis and weight. |

What did you mean by your move euros? |

How do you think a hellcat compares to this zl1? |
|
I don't see much cross shopping from the Euro offerings and this car. Sure a few might be swayed to buy this over a M4 but likely not. I think this car will beat a Challenger Hellcat stock for stock. It may be a close race in a straight line from a roll but that's about it. More tire, less weight and possibly the benefit of the 10 speed should make up for the power deficit. Hopefully they did a better job managing the heat with this car than the C7Z and CTS-V. |

Others bring up Camaro vs Euros as well: http://www.motortrend.com/news/compa...let-camaro-ss/ |

I havent sat in a 6th gen yet, but ive driven countless RS5(our closest comparison for the ZL1), and i dont see the ZL1 taking away any RS5 buyers. two different markets in my opinion. |

However I wasn't really speaking about consumers cross shopping, more along the lines of bang for the buck and overall performance. |

The only thing in euro mind is how to over engineer the shyte out of their car. ZL1 better be good because the 5.bro ain't playing around this time. |

 I would just buy a Vette |
