isn't it time...
for some kind of vBulletin update...
its been a while and we havent gotten any new features, but im kinda getting bored with this blue/white scheme... any way to spice it up just a bit... maybe a little wallpaper, and few house plants even... see, i dont follow "vBulletin Weekly" so maybe we do have the most advanced... but either way, i think we could use some new banners way up top(not the sponsor banners) and maybe a few pick me ups.... i dunno, im bored and its snowing... |
there hasn't been a news update sense dec. 15th, the current event is still the January meet, come on now guys  I have a pretty sweet pic from the 2007 January meet that would make a pretty f'n cool banner

um i didnt mean a news updates... |
i know what you were talking about...color schemes and features stuff like that...I'm saying they hasn't been much of anything updated in a while
|
Yeah, the admins have been pretty busy with other stuff. We discussed some of it at the last mod/admin meeting so stuff should start popping up.

We are running the most up-to-date version of vBulletin, 3.6.8, patch level 2. vBulletin 3.7 is in Beta 5 mode, so it will prolly still be several weeks / a couple months before it's released as final.
I have often thought about adding different themes to the board, so that users can change color schemes, but that will have to wait until I have more time in my personal life. Themes double the amount of work that has to be done when you edit templates (which happens for most of the mods that we install) and a lot of modifications that we currently use, as well as many that we have in the wings aren't compatible "out of the box" with themes other than the default, so that requires even more custom coding. And when it comes to the rotating banners - you're right. We've had those same 3 ever sense we switched to vBulletin. I'll work on adding some more in the bit of free time that I do have.... - Justin |

I'm way ahead of you.........all I need to know is what dimensions the image needs to be
|
The images all need to be 700 x 125, just like the 3 that are already there. Only use cars belonging to members, preferably active, and send me their names along with links to the images so I can request permission. Also, not that we discriminate against project cars (just look at mine), but try to use cars that are visually appealing, as the banner is one of the first things people see.
Font: http://www.1001fonts.com/font_details.html?font_id=1047 I know the font is different from the one that was used in the 3 banners above, we are going to get that changed. - Justin |
