Off to surgery

Damn!

Right now... we know:
Torn ligament in left knee
Other damage under left knee cap

Can't do an MRI because I already have 2 pins in there.

Date: Next Friday.

I WILL be at A.S.S. but... on crutches, leg brace, ***** load of pain killers, etc.

I've had previously:
ortho on both knees
Left knee cap relocated and 2 pins
Countless knee braces, casts etc.

He wanted to do surgery this Friday.....I asked if it could wait.... he said yes... and let me give you ALOT more pain killers ;)

Ugh, I hate this crap!

We won't know the extent of the damage until he is in there.

Well..... at least I can hope for cute nurses at the hospital right?

Guess I'll be online a HELL of a lot more than I am now :(

Race season..... postponed :(

ShitOnWheels 04-05-2005 02:00 PM

And they say I'm accident prone.

Crutches are fun tho. :)

Good luck.

jims69camaro 04-05-2005 02:06 PM

let me know if your prescription runs out. i might know of a source or two that can supply you with what you need. on the sneak tip, 'natch.

foff667 04-05-2005 02:06 PM

i think you should apply for one of those handicap tags to hand from the mirror for the bird :)

Untamed 04-05-2005 02:25 PM

Good luck with the surgery. Bring a magazine or two to keep your mind off of it.

misterjuice 04-05-2005 02:28 PM

And you're HOW old? Damn that sucks. I hope my knee doesn't give me **** until I'm long done and retired.
Good luck and ask for titanium bolts!

12secondv6 04-05-2005 04:38 PM

Had ortho at... 16?
Knee cap relocation... 17-18?
This one... 28 :(

BigAls87Z28 04-05-2005 04:49 PM

You are lucky James. At your age, it could have been your hip.

misterjuice 04-05-2005 04:55 PM

you should relocate the kneecap to your forehead.

man, that's just so wrong... (one day you will be old and gray and some snot-nose is gonna be making fun of you - wait, why should they wait 'til you're gray?)

28 is young (16 for the first operation?!?) but some people just have a predisposition for faulty joints. shave the bone... lol

Koll 04-06-2005 07:07 AM

I have noticed an increased ammount of online time....but you never answer which means either
1) You are dopped out on meds (BTW what did they perscribe you?)
or
2) You're a jew bastard.

Good luck and feel better.

NLinnear 04-06-2005 08:10 AM

 Cut both legs off above the knee and use hand controls to drive

All kidding aside, good luck!!!

Experiance is gained... and so can I, you;re not the only one who wrestled :)

BigAls87Z28 04-06-2005 10:14 AM

Kasey, the added weight of the phone books for you to sit on would offset any weight loss.

Tru2Chevy 04-06-2005 11:50 AM

I say you just have them replace both knees with titanium, bust your ass with rehab and get back to the track a few pounds lighter.

Good Luck man!
