Dyno Tune around here?
 

The place I had in mind for a dyno tune after I get some more mods installed closed thier dyno tuning facility in keyport... any else know of any locations in Monmouth County to get a tune?

There isn't as much demand for your tuning, since it only covers two years.

i think TTP is saddle brook can do LT1 + OBD2 tuning. that is the closest place i can think of.

What do you mean "covers only two years"? and I was under the impression that there are universal tuning packages, is it actually 100% required to use LT1 Edit?

lt1's with obd2 only were made for 2 years...96-97...94-95 can use tunercat, but the only thing out there for 96-97 cars seems to be edit...you can try ttp they might be able to do it.

Here's how you deal with 96-97 OBD-II Lt1's... you don't. You remove the pcm and put it in a safe place for inspection. Install a 94-95 pcm that's OBD-I and requires VERY little work to get running and you use TunerCat or call me. That's how you do it. I just convinced my buddy with his 96 imp SS and he's looking right now for an OBD-I pcm.

TTP wont touch LT-1's, most of the reason has to do with them not being able to give a standard set price; due to the differences in years. They probably could do it for you, but you would be charged their hourly shop rate, which I think would come out more then their standard LS1 tuning package.

For the OBD-I everything is $150, add $25 if you want an extra chip just for passing emissions. I CAN program OBD-II stuff but you're paying for the license AND my services... so I don't recommend it. Not to mention it isn't nearly as flexible as the OBD-I setups as far as being "hacked." So you're limited to how deep you can go with a tune, similar to what Craig is experiencing with his HPTuners software. The newer and more obscure ecm/pcm's don't get nearly as much attention or development time which results in basics.

well i have a 93 vette so its obdI...how exaclty do you go about the whole process? do you need the car or do you do it through the mail?
