A little teaser of what my car will be like when finished

69 Z28 Crossram JL8

But the big difference is that this car is not a real JL8 4 wheel disc brake car, it had the JL8 brakes added to it so it's not a documented JL8 car like mine. My car has the standard black interior instead of the Orange Houndstooth.

Looks Great Jeff....can't wait to see it when it's done. Â*I actually talked with Rich this afternoon about meeting with him in about 3 weeks to talk about the business.

 That's gonna look so purdy

Probably the only car I would honestly kill someone for. Amazing. I can't wait to see some pics of yours when its finished.

It's scary how the prices are skyrocketing on these cars. I can't wait for my car to be done. It's going on 7+ years I've been trying to get a JL8 car restored.

Very nice. I love that intake manifold, very good for a reving motor.

just don't let it become a trailer queen. i drive my car - not that it's anything special, just a sport coupe with a 307 - and i will continue to drive it regardless of what someone else says it's worth. cars were meant to be driven, not trailered around from car show to car show. :D

I'm pretty sure as soon as its finished, its going up for auction :(

In the words of Chip Foose... "You don't build trophies, you build cars to drive."

JL8Jeff 05-04-2005 07:51 AM

The only way I'll be driving mine is if the musclecar market has a major crash before my car is finished. I'll be selling it to recoup the money I've got dumped into it and driving the car will take away an easy $10,000 in value from my car. I'll buy something I can actually drive with the money left over after I pay off my mortgage.

jims69camaro 05-04-2005 09:37 AM

oh. :( i didn't know that was the plan.

Yea, we've been bugging him about it for a while, but he refuses to give us rides in it :pouts:

Yeah, I'm not real happy about the plan, but when the car is worth $150K or more, I'll be scared to drive it in NJ.

A quick spin down your street isn't that bad though....few cars, and the deer are mostly out at night. The biggest fear would be getting hit by a golf ball....

How about a 'viewing' when it's done?

Yea, you could always trailer it down to Marazzo's one night :)

That was my fear when i picked up the scanner from you. All i kept thinking was "FORE!!!" as the ball smashes my rear windshield. I was going to do the Orange Houndstooth interior on my chevelle, but was running out of money so that plan was cancelled. That will look amazing Jeff!

camaro2you 05-04-2005 08:38 PM

gonna be a nice car how long before its done

JL8Jeff 05-04-2005 10:02 PM

I wish I knew. I was hoping it would be done some time this year, but I don't what the progress is at the moment. It will definitely take a healthy loan to get it finished.
