where to get these tools?

i have a plug on my oil pressure fitting on y 8.1L silverado. the plug has a square fitting in it and its not a 1/4 or 3/8 ratchet type. ive tried allen (hex)wrenches but none of them fit tight enough that i can get it loose. i dont want to mess the fitting up HELP!!!!!!

camaroracer1992 05-26-2005 02:22 PM

like i said its a square fitting liek the drive on a ratchet, except ratchets wont fit , are there special tools for this?

I'm sure there is a special tool but if you've got a grinder (bench prefered) and an old large allen key, get to grinding :) . I've made "special" tools this way and welders also help to add material if you need it. It doesn't have to be pretty, just functional.
