Has anyone here actually put a big block in a camaro?

I was a year shy of almost doing it. Guy sold the motor before I had the funds for it.
The headers and exhaust are the hardest parts. There is room for everything else. Definatly check out TGO.

i think hooker or hedman actually make swap headers taht end in a similar spot to the small block full lengths. you would have to fab up a y-pipe, i have seen up to 3.5inch tubing used in crossovers, and 4inch cat/y-collector back tubing fits pretty good underneath a 3rd gen.
i forget who makes the swap mounts, i know it is one of the bigger companies, maybe td products/transdapt? i am sure they are listed in summit or jegs.

I've seen it done, but I cant find the picture. Then again the car was a tube-frame drag trailor queen.

(the car just sat under a tarp at E-town, only made 1 pass down the track)

what do you need to know about doing it.

Regarding what Tim said, I think I too have seen long tubes by hooker meant for a big block for 82-92 camaro's. Do a search on TGO, you'll find a lot of info.

nice find, though.

I believe Lemons makes a header too but I've never seen them. The motor will physically drop right into the factory motor mounts. Just gotta make a lot of room for everything else.
