a pump gas motor class would be cool, i have parts to build a sbc on juice, that should go mid to low 9's, after you see how this years event makes out, there are changes to make it better for next year.see you's at the track. JR1.
|
when i was reesearching rules for a heads up class i looked into the pump gas thing. it would definately be cool and has become very popular with the hot rod magazine shoot out.
i still think a turbo'ed LSx motor in a late thirdgen on stock suspension is the way to go. you can meet all safety and still have a car that only weighs about 2700lbs. if you back halve it the weight could go even lower. the only limit is how much money do you have to buy carbon fiber. :) it is a possibility next year, just have to come up with a reasonable way to enforce teh fuel rules, prolly take a pretty good fuel company sponsor to get it done right. later tim |
Can I run With my convertible top down, I usearm restraints and is NHRA legal? Do Bullets count as mufflers?
|
bullets count as mufflers.
i am not sure of the NHRA safety rules regarding running top down. you may want to get in touch with the track or the NHRA Division1 offices to make sure your car meets all safety regs to do so. it would be pretty kick asss to see a car scream the lane topless. later tim |
im pretty sure the only way for a car to go topless is if it has a cage, not just a bar; the time has no bearing
