Excellent Place for Repairs/Hop Ups/Engine work
I keep seeing posts that fbody owners are bitching about the quality of work, and/or time delay from some of the dealerships and hot rod shops.
I'm not looking to take business away from anyone, but if you're willing to try another place, I have a suggestion. My cousin (Bob Twynam) has a shop in Cedar Grove - New Hillcrest Exxon, across from the Cedar Grove EMT bldg. Its a couple of miles down 23 South (Pompton Ave) from the Willowbrook mall. He's not cheap, but his quality of work is impeccable. He's a hot rodder by nature, he races on the weekend (as does his whole family), and he's not a ******** artist. However, he also isn't a tuner. He doesn't use EFI or ATAP or anything like that. But bolt ons, repairs, even engine builds are done better than factory. I know a handful of people I directed to him and they don't go anywhere else anymore. So that's my 2 cents to help out those disgruntled by current repair shops. Hope it helps. |
Cool. Thats good to know.
Did you go to the Florham Park show last night? I skipped, I wasn't feeling well. I haven't been to that show in two weeks. :( |
No, it was too damn hot, plus was out car shopping for the wife.
It ended up being cancelled cause of the heat anyway.... |
Does he have any area's of car modifying that he is really good with?
