Rutgers

i go back to rutgers in like a week and a half. that makes me sad. college was fun and all last year, but now i'm commuting, so its like i have the hard, boring stuff of college, without the wonders of living there. at least i get to drive up scenic rt. 18 everyday.

79CamaroDiva 08-22-2005 09:09 AM

I honestly cant WAIT to go back to school, but I also live there, so its real nice to get out of the house. If you ever need a place to crash, we have a couch available on Cook.

Tsar 08-22-2005 10:32 AM

ill be going to rutgers too.....but im going just for the parties

Have you gotten anything in the mail from them as to when we can actually get our keys and stuff? I haven't heard ****! Sunday would be cool, no classes til Thursday... that means 4 days of DRUNK... or at least a few.

JPiZZiJP 08-22-2005 12:14 PM

We should all party up together at rutgers one night... j0n and I are minutes away!

Savage_Messiah 08-22-2005 12:17 PM

I went to Willy P for 3 years... its not as bad as you think, sometimes I wish Rutgers was more like it. My biggest class at willy p was 70 people, with most of them somewhere in the teens and 20s. At Rutgers this year, my SMALLEST class was 200, others were 4-500.. Labs and recitations have 30 or so.. What I like about Rutgers is its more 'collegey.' Wayne is just not a college town.

I can't imagine being in classes that big..... at Penn State, my largest class was 60-ish.

umm...for cook-returning students- Monday the 29th-thurs sept 1 8:00 am-6:00pm

Livingston returning: Sunday 28th 900 am-400 pm, Monday29-thurs sept 1-8:00 am-600pm

College Ave: sunday 28th 900-400pm, monday29-thurs sept 1 800-600pm

I will be returning sunday because its the only day i can use the my dads truck. Fitting my computer and crap in the camaro just sucks.

bad64chevelle 08-22-2005 02:03 PM

And yea, the classes at Rutgers are huge. I had one class that had 12 people in it, and it was great. Everything else is like 300+ people.

Fasterthanyou 08-22-2005 02:04 PM

lol, I was just there on Friday. We didn't go to any parties but the bar hopping was good... except I had to drive  so I only had 1 beer early on.
Parties at RU are decent, not riot invoking OSU parties but decent none the less.

i tend to like lectures more than the small classes. small classes remind me of high school...booooo high school. :x

yea man, I'm in your boat. I'm commuting for my last year up at rutgers. I'm gonna try and make the best of it. Where can commuters park overnight?

From what I hear its hard to find, but the back parking lot by the Newell's on cook is usually a safe place. I've had a few people stay over and no tickets.

ar0ck 08-23-2005 09:43 PM

Grease Trucks? I never made it to them this summer like I wanted :(
