Not sure if this was discussed already, however here's a company that is working towards the V8 Soltice and Sky.

Ahh yes, the LS2 conversion. 3.73's and a Turbo charger, and your flying! Isn't that gonna be a ****load of money? Even for insurance, cuz that car is super light.

Yep, they have been working on it, and so has GM. Not for production, but Mark Ruess, head of GM Performance Division, was quoted when talking to Hot Rod mag, in relation to HR putting a LS7 into a Solstice, he said "We can help you with any problems as we know something like that will fit."

I hope that they keep the balance of the car.
