Attention Everyone: Sad News
As of today, my 1987 Camaro Z28 that I have had since new, is on a flat bed to Ohio. I sold the car. I never thought I would do it, but due to recent events with family and other events I have zero control over, I had to sell the car. I sold it out of state so I wont have to see it around town, state, or for another 400 miles.
The story on the 1972 is shaky as well, but I will meet with my Grandfather at the end of October to see what he wants to do. Alright, now I have to go to work a big ol'mess. |
Damn. You REALLY shouldn't be getting egged on for selling it, cuz family always come first before anything. Good luck with whatever the reason is

Sorry to hear that Al....but I completely understand. I've also been contemplating selling mine. But decided against it.
I will keep the 305 hope alive ;) besides, if u ever wanted to, you can always come and work on mine..........just don't touch the transmission. hahahahaha |
perfect excuse for you to start saving for a 5th gen ;)
|

That sux Al, and I'm sorry to hear the news. Hopefully you and your family can handle the problems you are having, and you can get back into the F-body game soon.

Yeah, it sucks. I kinda wish I finished it before I sold it. Lotta great memories with that car, pretty much my childhood.
Anyway, after things clear up, I want to look for a 91-92 Z28 L98. |
sorry to hear that. I was forced to get rid of my 87 Cutlass (father wanted it gone, had the camaro and caprice) so i decided that i couldn't sell it to anyone around here so i donated it to the kids with cancer foundation. so what ever they get when they chop the car up, the money will go to them. They need it more than i do. Guess you gotta do whats right to help those that are ill and whatnot.

Nutz! Man, it is always hard to see your "baby" have to go. Especially when it wasn't a basket case or problem child.
It is impressive though that you had it since new. That's a pretty good track record. Oh well, hope it works out OK w/ the 72, and better yet, whatever situation ya have going on works out OK. |
Sorry :(
|
Damn man that sucks, you'll have another one soon.
|
sorry al, too bad you never finished so we could settle the grudge match... youll have another
|
Im selling my Iroc
|
Sorry to hear man :( ... hope for the best for you and your family and whatever circumstances forced you to sell it

I think he's lying and the car is actually running.

aw man, thats not the kinda thing I want to hear :( . Look at it this way, its just a car, you can always get another one. But whatever is going on with your family needs to come first no matter what. It sucks that you had to sell the car, and if you have to sell the 72, let me know how much you're looking to get for it. Keep your chin up Al, things will get better.
Oh and just curious, how much did you get for the 87? |
I got about 3500 for the car, but sold it too a good friend out in OH. I gave him all the parts that it needs to fix it.
Thanks guys, I know Ill get back into it, it just sucks to let it go when Ive had it for so long. As for the 72, we will see from my grandfather. It needs work to the body to repair some rust, as well as replace the tires and a host of other things. Its deffinatly worth fixing up, but will probably take a bigger chuck of change to bring it where I want it to be. |
If I were in your position, I'd get a hold of the 72 and take a year or two restoring it. Do a real good job and make sure everything is perfect or damn near perfect. then I'd sell it, you could get $12,000 easily for that car if it was restored. then buy whatever the hell you want! 8)
