got tats?

since the tattoo craze is hitting its apex, i wondered how many of you have tattoos? post up pics, show off your skin art. i used to draw them and someone else applied them. i've never taken the plunge myself, unable to get beyond the permanency factor.

I'm in the same boat as Jim. I've wanted the same one for a very long time, but still cant get beyond the fact that when i'm 70 or 80 years old it'll be all saggy and blurry like the rest of me. I'll stick to stickin holes in myself. I can take those out whenever.

the 3 x's stand for me being straight edge. I dont do any drugs. I dont represent being straight edge, i'm not militant like some are. I have friends that drink. I dont force my opinions on other people. The heart with the flames is a modified sacred heart. My dad was very religious before he passed away last year at the ripe ole age of 53. He was a good friend of mine aside from being my dad. So i got the sacred heart to remind me of him and the good times we had. I got it somewhere visible to remind me of why i'm alive today, and as a source of inspiration.

that would be a good piece to build on to

nice tats, one and all. Â*a tattoo can always be refreshed, touched up or however you want to say it. Â*i guess i don't feel passionately enough about anything in my life to get a tattoo, or i can't find the correct imagery to relate to what i do feel that passionately about.

fer instance, my grandmother was my best friend, in a time when i needed a friend - early teens. Â*it's also the time when my father was going through his second divorce, but that's another story. Â*so, i would call on my grandmother for help when i needed it and she always lent an attentive ear and advice when i got it all off my chest. Â*she died of old age, cancer of her lungs and cirrhosis of the liver. Â*she loved to drink, smoked a pack a day as long as i ever knew her and spent most of her time in front of the television. Â*she led a full life before any of this happened, of course, as i am only recalling her last few years in an assisted living complex.

so, how the hell do i express my grandmother in skin art? Â*i guess if it's meant to be, then i'll find the image. Â*if not, then i'll never get a tattoo. Â*in the meantime, i will continue to poke holes, as well. Â*just don't ask me to get a nose ring.
