510rwhp 393cid NA pump gas 00 Camaro SS
2000 Onyx Black Camaro SS M6 w/hugger orange stripes
40,300 miles The lowdown: This car is on its third larger displacement motor. This motor has started to experience oil blow-by, if you are at WOT for a bit at high rpm, it will produce a pretty good oil cloud. I am debating not messing with it anymore and just dumping it as is-- I will price the car as if the block is gone, but you may be able to (and probably will ) salvage it with a piston ring. A new crank and rods while you are in there, and you can have an all forged 422cid. Pricing: --The car currently has over $28k of mods in it (listed below). --Kbb/edmunds say the car is $13k-14k base value in good condition (I would consider it very good, paint is good, a few chips/scratches, otherwise paint is high gloss in excellent shape). I'll say starting value of $12k --The shortblock was $5100. I'll just drop that right off the asking price. So, $12k + lets say 39% of the mod prices, minus $5k for block (~$9000) - $5100 = $16k OBO and its yours. a couple of other notes:
--The heads flow 330cfm at 600 lift, I have a flow sheet for them --The car has a super light weight spool in it now -- I do have the posi unit which can be rebuilt if you do not want the spool in there. --510rwhp dyno was done through the posi rear, ET streets, with exhaust. --clutch, trans, motor all have less than 2500 miles on them. --the car is obviously still driveable and still pulls like a train, but I wouldnt recomend it until the smoking issue is resolved. Honestly, I kinda threw my hands up in the air, it may not even be the block, but thats what I suspect. I would definately consider a trade for the car. Your car would have to be cheaper and much closer to stock -- I just dont want to dump any more money into this project but I still would like an LS1 car. |
I'll trade you my cherokee for it :)

BTW, I've seen this car in action....... bad ass ride!!!! Really nice too!
|
i'll trade you motors, mine is pretty much stock

This is an awesome car, probably would have gone 10's if Erik didn't drive like an old lady! (J/K Erik....!) If I had 16K I'd be all over it.
