4th gen Firebird Formula vs T/A
Can somebody please tell me the difference? I have a 2000 Firebird Formula. And besides the obvious body difference of a Formula and T/A, are there any other differences? The title to my car actually says "Firebird Formula/Trans am". I like my formula because many people think its a V6, but then I can just race them and its fun. Although I once became very angry when someonebody was talking about how my car was "just a v6" and yelled at a stranger. I've "heard" that the formula actually weighs less then the T/A because of the extra body moldings on the T/A making the formula a lil bit faster. Anyways, just curious as to what you guys/girls can tell me on the subject!

Hey stranger, where have you been? :)
As far as I can tell, the only different between the two is cosmetic. When I think of the T/A formula argument, I also think of the mustang GT/LX argument. same motor and drivetrain, just less options and body moldings. *EDIT* you might want to think about fixing that typo in your sig. |

yea they pretty much summed it up, even though i think T/As look alot better, thats my lifes goal to have an ls1 ws6

that's your only goal in life?

Well, wasn't HP different? A WS6 is rated at 325 and a Formula and a T/A without Ram Air were both 310. For awhile they had the WS6 Formulas, but I'm pretty sure in 01 and 02 Ram Air was only an option on the T/A...
